i believe she's afraid of learning something she's not ready for.

I don't think it's a bad idea, depending on how it is done. I like the EDDM campaign, though it could have been written more professionally. I'm curious to see what happens. It seems to me that the best hope is to get the neighbors inoculated against the monstrosity in their back yard. I don't see this impacting the actual organization whatsoever though. It's not my ideal type of activism, but I feel it on a level.

95 Un-Truths - celebrate 500 years since Diet of Worms

you may recall the article we published about martin luther: https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/2003686#h=1:0-44:51. at the end of this month it's exactly 500 years since he nailed his list of 95 objections (un-truths) to the door of the catholic church, kicking off the reformation...for which he was invited to the diet of worms (judicial committee) and excommunicated.. also at a similar time to this commemoration, i have been invited to attend an event of the vast apostate army here in warwick (5.11.2017).

i'm worried that someone may compose a list of 95 untruths about us, and nail it to the gates at warwick!.

A cursory glance shows Luther to pose statements rather than questions, so I'll pose a few.

The concept of blood fractions is not found in the Bible.

With that said, the context of scriptures in Acts and other such verses about blood were referencing specific issues of the time.

And in doing so all blood represented taking a life, whereas in today's medical realm blood is not taken from death but rather used to preserve life.

Nowhere in scripture did our Exemplar shun anyone.

Whereas Jehovah's Witnesses teach members to shun, even to isolate from family that was never baptized.

Every human being on earth can grasp the concept of what a generation entails, yet you continue to change its meaning.

Scripture states that the end will comes as a thief, that the day nor the hour does anyone know, yet you continue to try to predict it, the very essence of a doomsday cult.

I could go on and on, but alas there are homes to be cleaned and it is my time to get to it.

JWs don’t break up families

i get very angry when i hear this claim being made by jws and get even angrier when i read the article they have on their faq section on jw.org which i’ll leave a link here:.

i know that the majority of this article is written about having a spouse that isn’t a believer and how the bible encourages them to stay together but that’s one of the things that can cause division in a family, for an example if a son or daughter marry a nonbeliever or a worldly person the parents aren’t going to attend the wedding.. once i was told by an elder that if i continued with my behavior of wanting to seek worldly friends and worldly companionship that i would have to leave my home because the holy spirit would leave my house and that would have a huge impact on my family.

I'll go ask my mom... oh wait, I'm not allowed to speak to her. Well then, I'll ask my brother, oh wait, the last time I said hi to him at a concert he turned and looked the other way. Fine, I'll ask my sister, except she shuns me too and I have no idea what city she even lives in or who her husband is since I know she was recently married and of course I wasn't invited. I'd ask my dad but he died and I wasn't invited to the memorial.

Okay then, maybe I'll ask my "worldly" family. Uh oh, I haven't seen them in decades since my parents decided when I was 8 or 9 to join a freaking cult.

I tried to warn you but you just had to feed the troll and now look how far he gets you from the subject matter. That's how he counts his time. You can utterly destroy his arguments time and again and nothing changes. He's clearly obsessed as we're 14 years into this. He knows about the things he asks about, he's just wasting your time.

Thank you so much for sharing. You're right in that leaving (we left 2 years ago) doesn't make life perfect, and it's fascinating to me that you kept family, but that sense of freedom is priceless. I'm happy for all three of you. What a beautiful thing.

Why cast your pearls before swine? Fisherman isn't worth your arguments. He's a trophy, a guy stuck here for 14 years defending disgusting things. Every court needs a jester, a disgusting pedophile defending jester. Someone to obfuscate and deflect, to represent the cult of Jehovah's Witnesses by putting their lack of humanity on full display.

Don't feed the troll. He's proven in this thread, like many others, what caliber of person we're dealing with. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt after his hiatus and thought that maybe he was just a misguided cult victim deserving empathy, and he's proven yet again to be soulless and gross in his defense of his cult teachings, this time going so far as to exploit the misery and pain of people unrelated to the subject matter to defend child sexual abuse just like his cult.

Honestly, the tactic of using the abuse of other children to take the heat off the cult speaks volumes about your character. You are a disgusting human piece of trash.

It's been a GREAT week for me!

so as some of you know i have a podcast called this jw life.

i put my story out there in 9 parts, and i've had lots of great experiences so far and met lots of nice people and i've made new internet friends, even some in person.

this last seven days though has been soooooo cool!.

Thanks everybody. I even had a PIMI dub email me today. They listened to one episode and said they could understand why I would leave, but of course they pinned it all on my family issues. Cult issues are often whitewashed by those in denial.

Anyway, it's been interesting. I'll have a new episode of "shunned" ready to go next weekend. I'm doing one interview Sunday as well for December's episode, trying to get ahead of schedule.

It's a lot of work, but a week like this makes it that much more worthwhile.
