My pleasure! I've got another interview done and up for editing for the beginning of January. I then have something special for February that I'll announce at the end of the January episode that I've started working on.

Oh, and if your version of this podcast has mono audio that's my fault. I've corrected it in the file that was uploaded, but for some reason if your podcast app downloaded the one with mono audio even downloading the new one seems to not change anything. I don't get it, but even if it's mono it's a good interview. I'm just picky about audio.

i'm sure many of you are aware of the jwtalk site, a message board which has yet to succumb to apostasy (give it time).. some of the forums there are visible to the public, and i've seen some crazy stuff.

here is a sampling:.

"satan is really trying his best to make things worst for the witnesses, knowing the 6,000 years is almost up, from eve's creation!".

In a last ditch effort to find my place as I was waking up and in being a person that loves forums, I joined that place years ago. Those people are looney bin crazy and live in an alternate reality. I was ultimately banned for speaking out in a loving way, challenging their hateful diatribes against other human beings, etc. They are awful human beings over there. They fulfill the verses about having no natural affection.

jehovah's witnesses insist that jephthah did not sacrifice his daughter to jehovah.

this is important to them because, rarther than jephthah just being a random bad person, jehovah was very much in on the deal.

after all, he made the promise to jehovah that he would "offer up as a burnt offering" on his return the first thing to come out of his house if jehovah would give the ammonites into his hands in battle, and since they were this makes jehovah complicit.. the isrealites had been getting a good thrashing of late, and the gilead elders (oh boy) had come out to ask jephthah, the rejected son of a prostitute (wouldn't you know it) and renown soldier, if he would lead the isrealites into battle for them.. this is when jephthah makes the deal with jehobo, and it all centres on the word for "burnt offering", which is given as "olah".

i was unware of this.

the irony is my mom is so "different" most her witness family barely wants anything to do with her.. she has spoken badly about my own brothers to other witness parents.

most witnesses who know my family and situation have said not even the bible has the answers to helping us.

Can someone tell me why Joan's ark and the flood not true and impossible?

hey everyone.

i have a question and i hope i'm not confusing this with something else i heard.

while watching ex jw videos on youtube many of them talk about how noah's ark and the flood didn't happen and it's impossible.

How do you keep the animals on the Ark fed? How do you prevent them from eating one another? How many people does it take to shovel that much shit, and by shit I mean the story and subsequent belief not the metric tons of literal waste that would be generated in short order.
