  I know of one case in particular but I'm not able to disclose the details because it was relayed to me privately. I would imagine that it only happens if someone close to a person was looking and had lots of motivation to do so. I don't imagine that random elders are watching and we all know that the GB aren't. If you have someone pissed off at you that might use knowlege of your apostasy as leverage, I'm sure it *could* happen but would be very unlikely and take a very obsessed person to work out.

  she goes on about what's happening in her life, you listen and ask some questions.

  @Morpheus - The title is just the subject of the post, not necessarily who they are asking the question of. They just want to know if we think that elders and GB members monitor the site to catch people. There have actually been people that were reported based off of posts here, so when you post on a public forum anything can happen. You take your own cult life in your hands when you post here. Whether or not they actively watch things who can know, but anecdotally there have surely been people that were outed through any participation online.

  You're so full of it. The brainwashing is strong with this one. Even healthy parenting doesn't involve controlling evety aspect of a child's life. Try as you may, but I showed just the trailer to people never affiliated with your cult and they were floored. You just can't see it because you're unable to think for yourself. It's very sad.   Yeah sure, they tell you what to do, when to do it, how to feel about doing it, what not to do, how to interact with others, all down to the minutia of your sexual behaviors even with yourself, but you're right Bobby, they aren't controlling.   so this morning i had a conversation with my grandmother about going out in service.

  remind you i'm only 17. i tried to ask her why i had to go out in service if this isn't what i believe in and whatnot.

  she went on saying basically these are the rules for this house.

  So I know a lady in her 60's (I think) that is an atheist that still goes door to door. She's in too deep to leave. I asked her how she goes in service. She tries to go to doors by herself (not always possible) and either does the old air knock where she pretends to knock or ring. If she is with someone or stumbles upon a person at home she simply has a prepared scripture that has a nice secular message and reads it to the person and says she's just giving people a positive thought for the day and leaves. She isn't placing literature, just sharing a nice thought, telling them to have a great day, and moving on. No damage done.
