im not feeling the greatest lately.
looking for some comfort on the only place i feel theres people who understand me.
the last few months have been the most enlightening in my life, showing me that i can be myself, and think for myself without being opressed by a religion that obviously does not care on how their people feel.
NC, I think it is a part of the transition, just as alcoholics go thru the DTs and heroin addicts go thru withdrawals. In time, you'll regain your compass, choose a new direction in life, and set about on your new journey.
Having goals helps me, even if they are short-term goals. It's something to focus my mind until I can set a long-term goal.
i was wondering what if any other religious background any of you had other than being a jw and if you have any comparisons.
i was brought up as a 7th day adventist.
once i was on my own as an adult, my former sis-in-law started studying with me and the rest was history.
Gahanna
I knew it! Hell is smack dab in the middle of Ohio!
there is hardly anyone posting and no one in chat!
are you all at the meeting tonight?
ha!
Still got that bottle of tekillya, Cops?

Well, I've been dragged to Catholic services on & off over the past 20 years, including my wedding ceremony. Does that count?
I don't generally go unless there's a more secular reason (i.e., the kids have some special role in the service, or Boy Scout Sunday, or a wedding, funeral, etc). I haven't gained any faith in Cathoilicism along the way. Instead, I reserve my Sundays for Nascar, golf, and beer consumption.
here's another marijuana thread.lol.
i believe marijuana was very instrumental in getting me free from mind control.
that's how it happened to me,, i was at randy's site (freeminds) and reading an article on mind control,,,(when i'm stoned i like to read my comprehension seems to improve).
Was it really the weed that broke the mind control? Or was it the entire box of Lucky Charms that I ate after getting totally lit? Or ... was it that demonic leprechaun on the box of Lucky Charms?? I didn't like the way his eyes followed me the entire time I was munching ...
the day of deliverance is here, and it is a time for action.
seeing the progress of his glorious kingdom the remnant sing: ?to him that rideth upon the heavens of heavens, which were of old: lo, he doth send out his voice, and that a mighty voice.?
(vs. 33) {psalm 68:33} jehovah is not now on a stationary throne, but, as the psalmist says, he is pictured in his ?throne car,?
More importantly, Ona, is that 'throne car' powered by a fuel efficient diesel engine? Or is it more like some wasteful American travesty of a motor vehicle, so that the Almighty should be ashamed of Himself for wasting our limited natural resources?
So, Tats & Cops ... you're saying that my worst quality may be that I often disregard even the most simple directions (unless, of course, those directions are screamed out by a horizontal woman)?
any thoughts on mr. taylor?s claims?.
u.s. demands greater oil output, lower prices.
"finance ministers from the united states and other major industrialized countries, hoping to affect the outcome of a battle within the organization for the petroleum exporting countries, formally demanded yesterday that oil-exporting nations raise production and lower prices to a level 'that is consistent with lasting economic prosperity,'" the new york times reports.
don't you feel a bit silly complaining about "$2 a gallon"
No, not in the least ... even now that regular unleaded has dropped to $1.97 a gallon. The prices were 30% lower here a year ago. And if I want to jump in the Wayback Machine, gasoline was $.93 per gallon when I moved to this city less than 10 years ago.
I'm hoping that this week's retreat from peak oil prices on the commodity markets is the beginning of a long-term trend.
Oh, yeah ... I was recently accused of being a "wickedly naughty boy", if I remember the quote correctly.
