Dr. Laura is entertaining, I'll give her that. The thing that amazed me is that people would call her show often enough to fill a three hour slot every day ... and these people had lstened to her for years ... and they knew she was gonna hand them their individual asses, but they called anyway. Dr. Laura callers are some of the most inbred, stupid, dipshits on the face of the earth. Dr. Laura is the shallow end of the radio gene pool.

she called dr. laura because the grandparents put their beliefs in the little 3 year old's head...not going to heaven because she isn't a jw, etc.
dr. laura, in true fashion, said that the lady who called was irresponsible because she 1) should not leave a young child alone, unsupervised, with people who are filling her head full of "stuff" that they don't agree with; and 2) because they are hostile to her husband, the df'd jw.. she blasted the lady who called about leaving her kid with these grandparents.

I'm just glad to not have the 92 mile round trip to my old office these days. I used to fill my truck at least 2 or 3 times a week ... figure at least 20 galons on every fillup. I learned right away to fill up the tank and buy cigarettes before I crossed the Michigan line ... and buy a bottle of Fruitopia before I got to a town that required a deposit on the bottle.

Here, we know to not buy gas on Friday or Saturday. The stations (all 8 gas stations in town ... as soon as one raises the prices, the others jump on the band wagon) usually jack up the prices on Thursday night or Friday morning by .05 or .10 a gallon, and then start dropping the prices on Sunday. They seem to enjoy this game.

What's a gallon?
A gallon is 3.78 liters.
Here, the price was $2.05/gallon a few days ago, but it has dropped a bit. I saw it for $1.98 tonight for 87 octane regular gas.

I bailed out of Tampa in 1988. Some of the last meretings I attended were there, at a KH on maybe 12th Street or 13th Street ... somewhere east of Nebraska Avenue, maybe between Buffalo Avenue (currently MLK, Jr. Blvd) and Hillsboro Ave.? I dunno. That was a long time ago. Maybe 1983.
