The smell of that God-awful body powder that old women use when they live in a hot, humid climate and they still refuse to bathe more than once a week.

Cigars...Cigarettes...Cigars...Cigarettes
by prophecor inregulars or menthols?
full flavor or lights?
kings or extra longs?

About a half a pack or maybe a full pack of skinny cowboys (Marlboro Lights) a day. And once in a while a good cigar. There used to be this great restaurant with a cagar room about a block away from our house. Dammit, but they closed! I'm limited to what I can pick up when I go on vacation now, as there are no good cigar stores nearby.

"Can you just imagine a first date with this guy?... "Hey, cutie. Wanna see something real special?""
Yeah, I could imagine a guy asking "Have you ever been with a man who could give you a whole foot?" *LOL*
At least it gives him a leg up on the competition. -

What are your favourite vegeatables?
by greendawn innutritionists tell us that vegetables contain a wide variety of substances that are beneficial to our health, and these are not vitamins and minerals, they are called phytochemicals.
given the fact that in the western world people consume a great deal of industrially processed food eating a lot of fresh veg (and fruit) can only be beneficial.
do you consume a lot of these?

I love eating vegetables. The tough part is getting them back in their wheelchairs.

"I wonder how many for abortion or at least pro-choice are against the death penalty."
Vice versa for me. I favor the death penalty for a number of crimes ... rape, murder, treason, horse theft, driving too damn slow in the fast lane, ... how long of a list do you want, Min? ... but am on the 'pro-choice' list when it comes to abortion.
Mind you, I am morally opposed to abortion as a means of birth control. If people are sexually active, they need to understand that a child is one possible consequence of sexual intercourse. I don't think that sucking a fetus out of the womb a few months later is the answer for indescretion. But I DO think that abortion should be available to women and couples to relieve a variety of medical situations, and in the case of rape or incest.
My own mother was pregnant at a time of her life that would have been classified as a 'high risk' pregnancy today. She was damn near 40 when I popped out. I'm glad she didn't have me vacuumed into the nearest sink. -

Do you prefer fake or real.....
by Dimples inwomen do you have real or artificial nails?
men do you prefer real or artificial nails?.
just wondering... .

I like real nails. I find the fake ones very difficult to drive into a 2 x 4 without breaking them. Fake nails just don't seem to live up to the force of a hammer. :-P

Why do people feel they need religion in their life ???
by run dont walk inafter growing up a jw all my life, i have no clue why people would want to be part of any religion.. i don't get the mormon stuff.
i don't understand the catholic faith.
i really don't understand the muslim beliefs and all their levels and the suicide bombers.
-
Dan-O
Why? Because so many people look around themselves & think "There has got to be more to life than this. I get up in the morning & work my ass off all day & no one appreciates what I do. Surely, I will be rewarded if I am good enough."
Bob Marley said it best: "If you know what life is worth, you will look for yours on earth." -

New car "motor" break in period...?
by JH in.
often i heard that with a brand new car, you can't drive at a constant speed for a long period of time, because it isn't good for a brand new motor.
they recommend driving at varaiable speeds and variable rpm for the first 1000 miles atleast.. just wondering if anyone here knows about this, and how many miles does it take for a new motor to be able to drive very long distances at constant highway speed without any problem.

"They used to be cast iron blocks, but now I think they are all aluminum blocks.
Not sure if that's the reason. Does anyone know for sure?"
There's still a lot of iron blocks used. And the aluminum blocks usually have ferrous cylinder sleeves. Aluminum doesn't hold up as well to the wear of a piston sliding up & down against it thousands of times per mile. Before long, the bore is out of round & the engine is burning oil. Those God-awful Chevy Vega 4-bangers of the 1970s looked like mosquito foggers driving down the streets after a year or two. I know that the manufacturing process has improved since then, but iron still outlasts aluminum in such applications. -

This used to be pretty common once upon a time, but I think it's fallen away a bit as manufacturing tolerances have grown smaller over the years.
Still, I think it's a good idea to go easy on an engine for the first 500-100 miles, then change the oil & filter. Get rid of anything that accumulated. Then spank it like a stepchild.
Check the owner's manual for your car & stay reasonably close to the manufacturer's reccommendations for a bit. -
