  now, anyone who knows me knows that i am a major fan of google.

  google is great, google is changing the world, yadda yadda yadda.. but for once, i really have to give it up for the boys at microsoft.

  their new search engine has some very cool features.. go to http://search.msn.com.

  I like Google, but they've had a few hiccups in the past 18 months as they have toyed with the algorithms they use to rank sites. For a while, I was getting terrible search results that had little relevance for my query, and it has been maddening to see some of my customers' websites yo-yo up & down in organic search results for their keywords. Google's current method seems to be better than the system they had last fall.
  
  MSN has rolled out a pretty good system in their effort to gain market share.

  I always loved the crap they showed us in junior high to convince us that smoking a joint was going to turn us into psychpathic killers. I never wanted to kill anyone when I was high. I just wanted to order a pizza.

  sat last night with 3 smokers in their 50's.

  all were complaining about their teeth and how they were becoming very loose and how many had all ready lost several teeth by dint of them literally just becoming loose and then falling out.. englishman.

  The Mennonites and shunning..JW hypocrisy.

  i've been away for a few weeks so forgive me if you've already discussed this article from the sept 1st 2005 watchtower, please.. it's about some mennonites who became jws and so were expelled/shunned.. it reads:.

  a few say later, the church elders came to the home of johann's family with an unltiatum for the interested ones: "we heard that jehovah's witnesses visited you.

  you must forbid them to return, and unless you hand over their literature to be burned, you face expulsion.

  One of my employees has cancer...from smoking

  one of the things i can't deal very well with is smoking.

  i remember telling someone i loved i really wanted them to stop because i didn't want to be the man holding her as she gasped for air dying from the habit.

  not 2 minutes after we broke up she was back at it, strangely that hurt me as much as the breakup, thinking of her suffering one day as i had seen others do...all because of cigs.... one of my technicians came in today that i have been having trouble with, his perfomance had become horrible, and i had intended to let him go.

  I couldn't help thinking "I hope his premiums are paid up." But then I read this. Kind sad, really.
  
  I guess the good news is that he has five years. Usually, if a cancer is serious stuff, it's merely a matter of weeks. Or they close a person up & tell them to gather their friends and family around for support. Five years is a long time.
  
  Sorry. I just re-read this. It kinda looks like I'm being even more of a smart-ass than usual, but I don't mean to be. I'm actually trying to be positive & optimistic.

  Started smoking at 18. I'm 40 now. I still have all 32 teeth.
  
  I'll report back when I'm in my 50s.
