"She also revealed the nature of his "Sin"."
Uh-oh ... now we're dealing with a totally separate issue, with consequences for the stool pigeon. Involve your HR department immediately.

"Has anyone else been in my position and how would you handle it? Or have you been in the fading dub's position? what would you have wanted your boss to do?"
I've never been in that position in the workplace, but you know what you have to do as a manager: you have to involve HR, document the performance issues, and once you document the emerging issues (the over-righteous dub who is affecting a co-worker's performance), you have to address that as well. And you have to keep religion out of the issues completely, focusing on performance of duties and standards for the jobs of both employees. -

Six Billion Hearts Will Soon Stop Beating. . .
by ACEofCAD inannounced our circuit overseer last night in his talk about the urgency to preach because of the times.
followed by a silence that was broken with ohhhs and ahhhs.
he said that a couple of times throughout his part, simulating a beating heart with his fist.

"His comments bothered me but what disturbs me more is that almost everyone there seemed all too happy about it."
They were no doubt all bird lovers ... looking forward to how well fed the birds of the heavens will be, plucking the eyeballs out of six billion corpses at Army Gettin'. -

Would you have quit the JW's for a Worldly Person you loved?
by JH inwhen you were a devout jw, and if you would have met a man/women that really pleased you, would you have quit the jw organization for that person, if he/she asked you to?

I was already on my way out when I met her, but marrying a Catholic put the icing on the cake, so to speak.

"Why people get this worked up over a game I will never completely understand."
You mean you'll never understand the game? Or you'll never understand why people get so worked up over it?
Personally, I can't understand why people even watch soccer, let along get worked up over it. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. -

It's all about women; the Roman Catholic Church in the 21st C.
by Abaddon inwell, the new pope has a task to take on or to ignore.. every single one of the major doctinal issues facing the roman catholic church involves women.the celebacy of priestscontraceptionfemale priestsabortion.
it is ironic that john paul ii, who was a maryist, has left the church just as misogynistic as it was when he took up the papacy.. it seems devotion to a pseudo-historical representation of womanhood borrowed and developed from pre-christian religions is not enough to stop sexist attitudes; women are still too dirty to allow to have sex with priests, are not allowed control over their own bodies, and are unworthy of being spiritual guides and mentors.. all the bets are on a traditionalist being elected pope, so i doubt we will see any change.. http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?article_id=29948.

"Rather than dealing with the contents of my comment you query my right to make it."
Naw, I was giving you some crap. *LOL* Really, you seem as though you're able to reason & discuss things, and you have shown your interest & curiosity in american politics. You're the sort of immigrant this country needs.
"I was hoping you could explain why Christianity is granted a special place in the Constitution"
The simple answer is that the Constitution does not give Christianity any special rights. But neither does it prohibit the recognition of the values and principles common among our country's founders, so long as the expression of those values does not infringe upon the freedoms of other citizens. -

Does Anyone Feel Stuck In Their Job?
by love2Bworldly indoes anyone hate their job but feel like they would be throwing away a good thing if they quit?
i'm working at my 3rd state agency in 4 years and have been unhappy at every one of them--usually because i don't have enough work to do and feel like a hamster on a wheel waiting for the paycheck, and i'm so bored!.
i'm scared to quit the state job because i have a large family, and this affords me great medical benefits and retirement benefits.. any advice?

Try being self-employed ... it sucks writing out checks each month for about $700 for health insurance. Plus, my boss is a real ass and he has no retirement plan ...

I've been out since 1983, and I was connecting to BBS services about 20 years ago with a 1200 baud modem. It took until last year when I stumbled across this site to even grasp the concept that there was such a thing as an ex-dub message board.

"Heaven's on Fire by Kiss or anything by those groups"
Yeah, an elder's son tried to convince me that KISS stood for Kings In Satan's System.
"anybody here know where i get my user name?"
John Bonham?
