  for those of you that grew up in the "truth" what did you get to play with/watch on tv?

  i keep reading about what you couldn't have or watch so what did you do?

  enquiring non jw minds want to know!.

  We were never allowed to have guns, swords etc, but being girls that was never a great issue.

  As far as TV we were allowed to watch whatever we really wanted, my dad was a real big sci-fi freak and i loved watching all that stuff with him.

  He tried to stop me listening to some types of music, Guns'N'Roses, etc but never really worked as he had AC/DC TNT LP, bought it when I was a baby.

  I remember one day i was having a shower and was really pissed at him, so I took my tape deck into the bathroom and played Guns'N'Roses up really loud, I could here him pounding on the door yelling at me to turn it off, I just pretended I could not here him. When i got out he asked me to throw it out, I told him i would when he threw his AC/DC LP's out. He said he would. He never did and nor did I. LOL.

  my high: my sister had her baby yesterday, i'm an auntie yay.. my low: she lives in another state and i'll have to wait for another week to see them.

  missing them terribly.. .

  i loved the recent topic asking what each of our screen names means.

  great question as i have always wondered about quite a few of our screen names.

  as i was reading the responses, i looked at holey cheeses - king of the juice's avitar and thought about how i have been wondering for the past three years, what the hell that is a picture of.

  I am very close indeed to that stage - do not know if my marriage will survive me telling her that I no longer believe it is the truth and do not want to attend meetings and definitely do not want to go door to door preaching what I know are lies

  I feel for you, It took me ages to get up the courage to tell my husband. I just did it really gradually.

  You never know, your wife may be relieved and feel the same way.

  Meet-up last night

  i went to the meet-up in melbourne and had a great time.. we ended up going to a bar.

  we found a quite booth and just sat talking for hours.. was great, met 4 new people and exchanged mobile numbers with a few.. took some photos but only prisca agreed to having her photo posted here.. really looking forward to the next one.. how did everyone elses meetups go..

  Got along really well with the others, one of the women ther was a bit intense but was understandable, had a lot of horrible stuff done to her in the past.

  Prisca is doing really well, we stayed around the longest and then once the others left we went to the movies together. Was great.

  You would buy your EX Husband a house? You must have left on good terms.

  Yes we did, and he shares custody of our kids, buying him a house would give him more time to spend with the kids too.

  He was always a great financial provier for us and worked long hours so I did not have to work.Still helps me out financially if I need help.

  But myself a jet so I could visit all my relatives that live all over the place.

  Buy my mum, Dad, sister, and ex-husband a new house.

  Buy myself some property and finally have my hobby farm. Buy all the animals I've always wanted.

  Hire a personal trainer, chef, housekeeper and nanny. Hire a house keeper for my sister as well.

  Go back to school and get my vet nurses degree.

  Oh organise the biggest apostafest in America so I could finally meet all you guys.
