Herk, why don't you SAY anything, instead of just posting those ridiculous graphics? OK, I understand you don't believe the Trinity doctrine.. Got that.

How can Jesus be God since he referred to the Father as "my God"
by hooberus inron rhodes quotes paul g. weathers: .
since christ came as man, and since one of the proper duties of man is to worship, pray to, and adore [god], it was perfectly proper for jesus to call the father "my god" and to address him in prayer.
positionally speaking as a man, as a jew, and as our high priest ("made like his brothers in every way," heb.

"To further add to the confusion, they teach that Jesus found a simular body with holes in it that would match the body that Jesus died in."
You're kidding, right? And the JW's teach that the Trinity doctrine is confusing?

Umm, that didn't answer my question. Are these graphics out of WTBTS literature?

OK, can you explain to my WHY this is their teaching? The bible doesn't say this is what happened anywhere. Is this another twisting to support their teaching? What would the reasoning be to deny that Christ had a physical resurrection?
I'm sorry I'm getting off topic here, just trying to understand.

This is how it has always been explained to me:
When Jesus called the Father "my God" he was recognizing his humanity and acknowledging Him as "my God." Prior to Him coming to earth in human form, He had only a divine nature. In this divine nature, He could never refer to the Father as "my God" because Jesus was fully equal to the Father in every way. It was only after the incarnation and taking on human form, that it was proper for Him to refer to the Father as "my God."
Also, Jesus always refers to "My Father" or "Your Father" but never "our Father." He was distinguishing the two because He is a son of God by NATURE and we are sons of God by ADOPTION.
Can you please explain what you mean about the JW's not believing in the physical resurrection of Christ? How do they explain the passages where Christ appears and walks with the disciples, and where Thomas places his hand in the holes in Christ's hand and side?

Top Ten Signs You're a Fundamentalist Christian
by yxl1 inbrowsing the web when i should be working, i found this at evilbible.com.
not sure if its been posted before, but it made me laugh.
enjoy.. 10 - you vigorously deny the existence of thousands of gods claimed by other religions, but feel outraged when someone denies the existence of yours.. .

I consider myself a fundamentalist christian.
It means that we believe the bible to be literal, and that we believe it to be error-free, inspired by God.
It also means that our christianity is the basis of our being. Everything in our lives revolves around Christ in our lives.
It does NOT mean that we spew hatred toward others. It does NOT mean that we are equivalent to the muslim (fundamentalist) terrorists, as my son's teacher tried to insinuate.

We have been having a female cardinal this spring who is doing the exact same thing! Poor thing-- she must be severely brain damaged by now.
Wild Birds store in our area said that, indeed, it is because of how territorial cardinals are and she is seeing her reflection in the window. The problem is we have 27 windows on the back of our house, so we can't put those owl decals in all of them! She's just going to have to figure it out or kill herself trying

Does Jesus being the "Son of God" mean that he is not God by nature ?
by hooberus inin bible times the phrase "the son of god" was understood as a claim to the nature of god, not a claim to be a lesser being:.
" john 19:7. .

So what you are saying is that this means Jesus IS greater than God because of the sacrifice He made? How can that be?
See, this is what does not make sense to me about the theory that Jesus is NOT God.

Here's what confuses me about the "Jesus is not God" theory.
I have asked this question before and no one has answered. If God loved the world (us) so much, why would he have sent someone else to die for us? If Jesus died for our sins, and He did, then wouldn't that mean than He performed an act of love and sacrifice for us that is greater than God's? That would make Jesus greater than God, unless, of course, Jesus IS God.

Yes it was. Tim Weisburg on the flute.
They did another album together in the 90's, I believe, and it was called "No Resemblance Whatsoever."
Beautiful music!
