  tom cruise is stupid. as a person. i give him one of the worst insults in our culture: stupid.

  Have to say I agree with this after listening to a clip of the interview with Matt Lauer this morning. Tom Cruise reminds me of my brother, who is still a dub, who thinks he IS ALWAYS RIGHT. Isn't that dub mentality?

  Listening to TC made me want to hurl as there is no other opinion but his. He said that he "researched" these drugs that have helped people, but he never said what the basis of his research was. IMHO TC is an arrogant a**hole.

  That being said, I will not boycott the movie, but I may wait for the DVD, as the movie is not all about Tom Cruise.

  mr fe2o3 and i are expecting a baby.

  i am 22 weeks pregnant, our baby is due at the end of october.. mr fe2o3 is a wonderful, gorgeous man.

  Congratulations!

  We'll find out the sex when it is born. I like surprises.

  I waited to find out what I was having till the birth day. I felt all along that it was girl -- and it was! I didn't even have a boy's name picked out.

  Happy pregnancy to you! The best part (for me) was feeling the baby inside. I missed that when my daughter was born.

  Passing the time.

  i used to come up with all kinds of things to do to pass the time during meetings and especially conventions.

  i would resort to counting ceiling tiles sometimes or go over movies in my head line for line.

  what did y'all do to beat the doldrum?

  Go to the potty (first and foremost)

  Hold/play with babies.

  Text messaging -- god that was the best as it gave me contact with the outside world and something to look forward to.

  i just noticed this item on nationwide newsthe us southern baptist convention, representing the country's largest protestant denomination, has ended its eight-year-long boycott of the walt disney corporation over its allegedly pro-gay policies .... .

  has anyone heard of jw's boycotting businesses?

  years ago, an elder worked at the health food store downtown.

  Yes, but wouldn't a boycott be a "worldly" thing to do? I remember when this email went around about boycotting the gas stations for a day due to the high prices. Some of the dubs who got that email (and I knew them) were offended by it. They said that is something done by worldly people.

  Maybe if they knew that a DF'd person owned a certain business, they would probably "mark" it and avoid it like the plague. I really don't know.

  i know of some people that regularly speak untruth and think there's just nothing wrong with it.

  Lying does not produce good results. I don't like being lied to, and I try not to lie to others.

  Exception: Sometimes I call in sick when I am really not. I call it a "mental health day". (guess that is kinda justifying it in my mind).

  i just joined here so i'm not completely familiar with the forum code.

  well, i'm going to be baptized in less than a month and i was wondering if i can find any friends among my peers or anyone around my age.

  you see, my congregation was split up almost three years ago.

  Oh, no. I don't think I'm rushing. I entered the theocratic school of ministry when I was 8 and became a preacher when I was 10. I studied and gained knowledge during those three years. I enjoy being 'in the truth' and doing what Jehovah asks. I know it's a decision that will affect my life. Trust me. I've seen a Bible student who has been studying the Bible for about two years enter the theocratic school, became a preacher, and was baptized. ^^

  I believe you.

  I guess I just wanted you to be aware that people change as they grow up. I am in my 30s and have changed so much -- even in the past 5 years. It is amazing.
