there is cloaking technology now, like the invisible car, etc if you google and search around, based on cameras, mirrors, etc.
so my guess is probably cloaking technology for aircraft now too?

just saw this on google news.
link to letter here.. .
dear family, i want to tell you that although this has been the worst of my lifes tribulations, that i am still standing.. the obvious reason is that jehovah is the faithful keeper of promises holding to his word that never, would his great love allow his precious children to be tested beyond what we could bear.
I am happy that her Mother's strong faith will help carry her through this horrible ordeal. On the flip side, it will come as quite a blow if she ever does decide to start questioning the "Truth".
My thoughts are with Whitney's friends and family.
perhaps i've just been logging on at the right time but i've seen no insane eschatology or prophecy from our resident messiah/prophets and of course, rick isn't spamming the board and everything just seems .
.
well, nice.. i like it.. .
Nicolaou,
Thank you for your level headed, mature, intelligent, and very honest posts!!! A lot of people share your feelings.

how sad......
It is so sad. I am sorry that this happened. Things like this are occurring on an almost daily basis. I just read on another board that there is a 12 year old girl missing since yesterday afternoon. My thoughts are with all who have lost loved ones to evil people who's only desire it is to hurt others.
what do you do for fun?
i like r/c planes.
i have friends who collect everything from hot wheels to comics to coins.
I collect furniture and accessories that were made in the 1700's. My newest furniture is from the Sheraton period (Circa 1810-1830's). I especially love things that were made specifically in the 1770's during the Chippendale period, and I have furniture and other things (Candlesticks, pewter dinnerware, that were made around the same time that the Declaration of Independence was written. The oldest European piece of furniture that I own is a nicely carved Basque provincial chair from the 1660's. The oldest colonial American piece that I own is a William and Mary Bannister back chair from circa 1690-1710. My most recent aquisition is a Queen Anne period Chest-on-frame that was made in the middle of the 18th century, circa 1750-60. Early Windsor chairs are another passion of mine.
I also collect antique copper cookware from the late 1700's to the mid 1800's. Most are french, but many are English and American, and I occasionally still cook with many of the pieces.
Growing up, I used to collect authentic Ancient Roman and Greek coins and antiquities. Most I sold when I moved away from home, but I still have some ancient coins, and some smaller antiquities such as early Roman busts, drinking vessels, etc.
I love to collect things!
my father passed around 9 this morning.
he'd been in poor health for some time, but it still comes as a shock to have him gone.
we are going to miss him terribly.
JeffT. Wow! Your Dad was a Hero to a great many people! Through his advances in medicine, he saved thousands, tens of thousands, and likely hundreds of thousands of people, and will continue to do so even though he is no longer here.
He left quite a legacy, including a beautiful son-you!
Despite the isssues with the Watchtower, I hope that you both were able to have a relationship with each other, even if it may have been strained at times due to the teachings of the Org.
Take care of yourself, and I wish you peace and strength as you deal with your loss.
very sad as was said by a poster earlier our shared one time faith makes it seem as if you knew her.
rip.
Dammit.
I thought about her earlier today, hoping that she would be found alive. My condolences go out to her parents, and I hope that their faith (Even though we may no longer believe) gets them through this horrible crime as well as the loss of their own daughter.
I cannot bear to look at how upset her parents are, especially the father.
JW, Catholic, Atheist, Mormon, etc. Crime affects us all with the evil conditions we see and deal with each and every day.
My thoughts and prayers go out to this family, and I hope, I hope so bad that Whitney died before feeling too much pain and horror.
This is sickening.
It's sad that she is missing. I bet her family is devastated. I hope that she is found alive and safe. If she has indeed perished, I hope that she is still found so that the family can find some type of closure.
i was always curious about what they had to say.
(i guess i was an apostate in the making)..
Circa 1985, shortly after I had moved away from home, I went to the library in Winnipeg, and saw the book Crisis of Conscience for the first time. I had heard a little about the book, and to be honest, I was afraid to even touch it. Gradually, I gained the courage to take it off of the shelf, after first looking around to make sure no other JW's were nearby. Still scared and apprehensive, I glanced through the table of contents. My body was shaking due to the adrenaline rush and fear that I would be found out or caught in the act with the book in my hands. I started thumbing through the book, reading tantalizing bits and pieces about the Org. I dared not sit down and read the book, so I stood there by the shelf reading, while occasionally scanning for anyone who might see me and turn me in for reading apostate literature.
After a short while, I returned the book to it's place on the shelf, guilt starting to set in, and fearing that Jehovah would make it known that I had picked the book up. It took a while, but eventually I found myself going back to the library to visit the book, reading more and more. One day, I went back to read even further, and lo and behold, the book was gone. The librarian even had no idea what happened to it. Evidently someone had either stolen or had destroyed it. The book was in the reference only department, so it could not have been checked out. A part of me was sad that I couldn't read it anymore, but a part of me was happy as I was not totally ready to have my faith completely shaken at the roots.
That was my first experience with apostate literature, and thankfully not my last.
