  Do you think mankind as a whole will get to meet the Third Kind in our life?

  i'm sure we have been visited by the third kind, but i am referring to a time, within our lives, where as a whole man will be visited and see them.

  i know mother shipton, maya, sumerian, and others all reference a future (in all aspects similar to our modern time) when the "gods" will return and help men ascend to a new level.

  personally, i don't think such an event is too far fetched..

  They are already here, but they and the higher ups in the governments are waiting until they think we can handle the fact of us not being the only ones. Either way, I am confident that within the next few to several years we will hear that life is thriving elsewhere within our Solar System. Whether it will be intelligent life remains to be seen. Then again, who is to say what defines "Intelligence".

  i was given the link to a bit of information regarding on old poster/moderator of this forum.

  i was not sure of the validity of the information so have been trying to find out if it is true.. earlier today craig's estranged wife, kate, (bikerchic) confirmed that craig died at his home on aug 10, 2011.. i am sure that many people here remember craig's time here and how he went out of his way to offer support to posters, even calling them, to give whatever help he could as they adjusted to their post-jw lives.. i know many people here will grieve his loss.. --------------.

  When I first saw the question that was posed on this thread, my first thought that came to mind was The Human Race.

  It was interesting to see how differently people interpreted the question, and how some responses automatically made it an issue of color. It appears that there are many different ideas and thoughts of what defines "Race".

  here is a question i want to pose because i do not know the correct answer.

  i have seen many interracial married couples among jehovah's witnesses--moreso than i have seen in other religions.

  however, i have been told that once upon a time, interracial marriage was frowned upon by the wts hierarchy.

  I dated a Black sister when I lived in Minnesota. Most people were okay with it, except for a couple other black people who showed their displeasure and my mother who had a fit and started telling me about the problems our kids may have, etc. I guess it would depend on the congregation just as much as the people, as each one has there own type of personality, so what would be accepted in one congregation may be frowned upon in another.

  There is so much interbreeding among nationalities today that within a hundered years or so I doubt it will even be an issue. Then maybe all of the back and forth accusations of racism will cease on both sides. That will be a good day when and if that happens.

  Thanks for sharing! That is just a tiny taste of the unimaginable horrors that many people felt that day. I wish that I could help them more. Seeing all of the cleanup over just a few months, makes me appreciate them even more. There are large areas that you would never know that something bad had happened because of the clean up. They did not rely on the Government to bail them out, rather they picked themselves up, dusted themselves off, and worked together to try to improve their own situation, as well as others who needed help. If more people acted this way and helped themselves instead of waiting for the Government, bad situations such as this can be easier to handle. We can learn a lot from the stark contrast between the Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan, Hurricane Katrina, the Haiti earthquake, the Chilean earthquake, midwest floods etc. They were all disasters, yet the way people reacted afterwards made the outcomes in each situation totally different.

  The article is about Seal Team 6 in general, not the guys who supposedly killed Osama, even though they were also part of the same team. Guys from Seal Team 6 did get killed as a distraction. I never said he killed the guys who supposedly killed Osama.
