Whahappened,
Had you usually taken the time or energy to try to make useful, intelligent, or thought provoking posts on this site instead of your typical posts such as the one above, I might be more inclined to .............um, never mind. I bet you still laugh at the words pee pee, booby and potty. Don't worry though, it won't be as funny by the time you hit 12.
Thanks though!

Razziel, that "Empiracle Scientific Research" that has been done countless times and independently verified by even the most brilliant and well respected pioneers in Science and medicine (which includes many Black people) holds no weight whatsoever here. It has been hashed and rehashed over and over again. You will quickly learn that there are a select few posters here who are the final authority on these matters, and any opinion to the contrary will earn you nothing but the title of Racist (especially if you are White), liar, and troll.
I totally agree with you when you say "I wish we could strike a balance about it without being considered either racist or anal-retentive in political correctness." Wouldn't it be nice!!! Wouldn't it be wonderful to be able to celebrate our differences (as minor as they may be) so that we can grow and learn from each other! Unfortunately though, there are some in our society who are so insecure that they feel the need to still blame White people for every perceived slight and injustice known to mankind, often while misconstruing the most harmless of words in the name of "Political Correctness". There are countless examples. Here is just one example that hits very close to home for me.
Until the day comes when people of all skin tones decide to rise up, band together in equality and love, and face the challenges that affect all of us as humans, nothing will ever change, and we will only delve deeper into the pits of despair.

Whitney agreed too!
Whitney Houston lyrics to "So Emotional"
I've been hearing your heartbeat inside of me
I keep your photograph beside my bed
Livin' in a world of fantasies
I can't get you out of my head uh
I've been waiting for the phone to ring all night
Why you wanna make me feel so good
I got a love of my own babe
I shouldn't get so hung up on you
I remember the way that we touch
I wish I didn't like it so much uh
Chorus:
I get so emotional baby
Everytime I think of you
I get so emotional baby
Ain't it shocking what love can do
Ain't it shocking what love can do
Ain't it shocking what love can do
I gotta watch you walk in the room baby
I gotta watch you walk out
I like the animal way you move
And when you talk I just watch your mouth
I remember the way that we touch
I wish I didn't like it so much no
Chorus:
I get so emotional baby
Everytime I think of you
I get so emotional baby
Ain't it shocking what love can do
I get so emotional baby
Everytime I think of you
I get so emotional baby
Ain't it shocking what love can do
Ain't it shocking what love can do
Ain't it shocking what love can do RIP Whitney

I understand your post Barry, and I also realise and understand that nothing racist was meant by it. I have personally noticed that many-(notice that I said many not all) Black people often have a stronger emotional sense of family, something that everyone should strive for, no matter what tone our skin is. Even in the JW's, I have noticed and have heard of many who would not shun their own family members because of such a strong familial bond. I have even spoken with an African American person on this board about this. Also, I Love hearing the Gospel Choir in many predominantly Black Churches, as the singing is so emotional and joyful, and you can tell that they (those in the congregation) are truly singing from their hearts, unlike, for example, a lot of JW's who sound like they are only parroting the words. The same goes for the preachers. You do not see this in many predominantly White Churches.
I don't understand why people think that your post about this is a bad thing. I would be willing to bet, and I would guarantee that if you took 20 churches, you would find that in the predominantly Black ones there is more emotional and soulful joy that resonates within everyone.
Being emotional is not a bad thing. Love, Joy, Peace, Long Suffering, etc. are all emotions, and the stronger those emotions, the better, so long as they are not excessive to the point that it hurts others. Saying that someone is emotional, or even more emotinal than others does not always imply something bad.
I would much rather listen to Whitney sing Gospel than I would Amy Grant. I feel that Whitney was more emotional when she sang.
So, yes, I do see your point Barry!
sad indeed!
i was searching online when i came across these headlines.
early reports say that as many as 27 jws died in a bus crash in ecuador while on their way to a meeting a couple of weeks ago.
Wow, that is so sad. I feel bad for their families too that are left behind. Even though they were unfortunately misguided by a Cult, they were still human, and for that I wish them a peaceful rest, and that their families learn to cope and heal from this terrible tragedy.
I once knew a Brother from Equador who would occasionally visit Daytona while I was growing up. Mario was a really nice person. He knew that I collected coins, and he gave me an early 1700's Spanish silver Shipwreck coin that he carried around that was in his family for generations. In return, I gave him an old Morgan Dollar. After that, everytime he would visit, he would pull the Silver Dollar out of his pocket and smile at me. Just a little story showing that some JW's can still be kind and loving. I hope that he is doing well, and that he or is family wasn't involved.
RIP for all those who lost their lives....
i hate doing this type of thread.
none of us are perfect, least of all myself, and i would rather focus any criticism on the watch tower society for damaging people's lives.
however, in the short period since i've been a member of this forum i've noticed one member in particular deteriorate in his behaviour into the type of individual who threatens to undermine the credibility of the entire website.
needed to squeeze so hard to get into his dark kingdom-hall threads. That suit looked way too tight and ill-fitting and the tie finished off any remaining composure he may have managed. The poor man looked as if he had become any redder of complexion, the suit would literally explode into tiny shreds.
Steve2,
Unfortunately not everyone can afford, or has the flair to dress in the latest fashions from Milan as you yourself are evidently able to do. The man has lost his posting priveleges, yet he still is evidently clearly on your mind, and of all things, you choose to make fun of his clothes and bodily appearance. I, and I am sure most others have by now even forgotten about this trainwreck of a thread, and have instead chosen to focus on more positive threads so thanks for bringing it back to our attention so that the flames can be fanned once again.
I thought that you were some type of councelor, psychologist or therapist? I would usually hold such people as yourself to higher standards. Evidently I was wrong.
Why not let sleeping Dogs lie???
In all fairness, I would ask that the mods please lock this thread so that the attacks on someone who can no longer defend or speak for himself stop.
she is in the middle of the severe storm/tornados in alabama.
tried to call her a half hour ago but the phone just rang..
Glander and all, Sylvia is doing well! I talked to her just a while ago. She sounded really spunky and full of life! She has not had the really bad storms, but has candles out just in case she loses power, and has a spot all picked out in case she needs to run. I told her of your concerns, and I expect she may be calling you Glander, if you don't call her back first. I am so glad to hear that she is sounding so positive and that her situation is improving!

LOL and good job! The litterature is good for something after all!!!
hey my friends,.
i'm a single guy and my head is gonna explode if i don't take a short vacation.
atlantic city is not a terrible drive for me and i have never been.
Hi! I have been. If you go, I wouldn't plan on staying there for any length of time though. There are casinos which are the main attraction, as well as the boardwalk on the beach, but besides that not too much else. One interesting aspect about Atlantic City is the fact that the streets, water company and electric company on the Monopoly Game were named after actual streets and businesses there, so if you want to explore and see what Marvin Gardens, Baltic Ave, etc. actually look like you have that option, But BEWARE if you do. Only take a taxi, and watch your back as there are a lot of not so nice ghettoey areas in AC, and with it comes lots of robberies, etc. Stay on the beaten path though and you should be fine.
A funny story. The last time my friend and I went, we spent some time on the boardwalk. There were lots of yummy treats being sold, salt water taffy, candy apples, typical carnival fare. In the candy shop, I saw some nice chocolate truffles. I bought a few, and as we were walking I decided to have one. I bit into it, and felt something strange brush my mustache. I thought to myself WTF? but didn't think too much about it. As I was chewing, savoring the unique flavor, I look down at the remaining half truffle in my fingers only to find a HALF of a worm squiggling inside of it! As I started gagging, I threw down the rest of the truffle as I ran to a garbage can to spit out the remainders of the worm infused, chocolatey morsel. My friend could have peed himself from laughing so hard. That was my final memory of Atlantic City!
Personally, I would try to find some other places in the area to visit. I would much rather go to the North Shore of Mass. Marblehead, MA is a nice, quaint town, and just a short drive from that is Salem, MA and other scenic, historic and fun filled towns.
If you do decide on AC, have fun, be safe, and DON'T eat the Truffles!!!
