may you all have peace, love and warmth as you share this special time with loved ones.
even though we all may have different religious or spiritual beliefs, we can all agree on one thing, and that thing is love, an unconditional love that has no limits, expects nothing in return, and is pure.. here is a beautiful poem by maya angelou.

Got your PM and responded CoCo!
D, thank you for the Holiday cheer!!! All the best to you and yours!
We set out a huge Holiday spread for the Raccoons, Possums, and and other animals that are braving the weather and they are out right now having a blast while devouring the food! They have chicken meat, sausage, peanuts, pecans, Animal cookies, bread, plums, bananas, and other goodies spread out as a Christmas smorgasboard for them. We keep refilling the water trough with warm water so that they can warm up because of the cold and snowy weather. Last year, we put a few cookies together and gift wrapped several of them, and the Raccoons stood in line and grabbed their gifts and it was so much fun watching them rip them open with their little hands and eat the cookies! We love Animals soooo much!!!

One thing I noticed was the word Arsenokoitais, which many scholars attribute to homosexuality. The first part of the word is Arsen, which, when translated from Greek, is where the word "Arson" comes from, meaning "Fire". We all know that Fire is caused by the rubbing of two "sticks" together, denoting a homosexual act. (Sorry, couldn't resist)
In all seriousness now,
Thanks for the information, Irondork! It's a lot to read for people like me who have ADD, so I am reading bits at a time so that I can understand it all. So far it is very interesting, and I thank you for all of the time you spent to put all of it together!
P.S. Your screen name has always intrigued me...lol Merry Christmas!!!

Here is a beautiful poem by Maya Angelou. It is titled 'Amazing Peace: A Christmas Poem'.
Enjoy!
Thunder rumbles in the mountain passes
And lightning rattles the eaves of our houses.
Flood waters await us in our avenues.Snow falls upon snow, falls upon snow to avalanche
Over unprotected villages.
The sky slips low and grey and threatening. We question ourselves.
What have we done to so affront nature?
We worry God.
Are you there? Are you there really?
Does the covenant you made with us still hold?Into this climate of fear and apprehension, Christmas enters,
Streaming lights of joy, ringing bells of hope
And singing carols of forgiveness high up in the bright air.
The world is encouraged to come away from rancor,
Come the way of friendship. It is the Glad Season.
Thunder ebbs to silence and lightning sleeps quietly in the corner.
Flood waters recede into memory.
Snow becomes a yielding cushion to aid us
As we make our way to higher ground.Hope is born again in the faces of children
It rides on the shoulders of our aged as they walk into their sunsets.
Hope spreads around the earth. Brightening all things,
Even hate which crouches breeding in dark corridors. In our joy, we think we hear a whisper.
At first it is too soft. Then only half heard.
We listen carefully as it gathers strength.
We hear a sweetness.
The word is Peace.
It is loud now. It is louder.
Louder than the explosion of bombs. We tremble at the sound. We are thrilled by its presence.
It is what we have hungered for.
Not just the absence of war. But, true Peace.
A harmony of spirit, a comfort of courtesies.
Security for our beloveds and their beloveds. We clap hands and welcome the Peace of Christmas.
We beckon this good season to wait a while with us.
We, Baptist and Buddhist, Methodist and Muslim, say come.
Peace.Come and fill us and our world with your majesty.
We, the Jew and the Jainist, the Catholic and the Confucian,
implore you to stay awhile with us
so we may learn by your shimmering light
how to look beyond complexion and see community. It is Christmas time, a halting of hate time.
On this platform of peace, we can create a language
to translate ourselves to ourselves and to each other.
At this Holy Instant, we celebrate the Birth of Jesus ChristInto the great religions of the world.
We jubilate the precious advent of trust.
We shout with glorious tongues the coming of hope.
All the earth’s tribes loosen their voices to celebrate the promise of
Peace. We, Angels and Mortals, Believers and Nonbelievers,
Look heavenward and speak the word aloud.
Peace. We look at our world and speak the word aloud.
Peace. We look at each other, then into ourselves,
And we say without shyness or apology or hesitation:Peace, My Brother.
Peace, My Sister.
Peace, My Soul -

Hi Cofty! If I may, I would like to offer an explanation of the following:
Why are you contradicting yourself Shelby? You said there was no such person as Jesus.
When I came to know the One many CALL "Jesus" I came to know that "Jesus" has never done anything for me... because there is no such person. - Shelby
Notice that "Jesus" is in parenthesis. Perhaps what Shelby is saying is that she does not know a "Jesus", as she does not believe that to be his true name. Many believe that "Jesus" real name is Yaheshua, so when Shelby says that there is/was no "Jesus", she is not saying that there was never a Christ (Yaheshua), but is simply saying that "Jesus" isn't his real name, therefore, "Jesus" doesn't exist, even though the Christ (Yaheshua) does.
Sorry for answering a question directed to you, Shelby, I'm just trying to help another person understand some things so that they may see that you indeed are being truthful!
Peace and Love to everyone for this coming New Year!!!

DIY laundry soap
by Satanus ina search for the best laundry soap turned up that it was tide.
tide is very expensive, though.
baking soda.

Thanks Satanus! The recipe does work, I've made it before and the thing I like about it (Besides the cheap cost) is that it isn't loaded with perfume. I literally gag when I use perfume scented laundry soap, it is just waaaay too strong. This recipe also can make a nice gift for someone who likes to try different things, and all you have to do is put the home made soap into a nice decorative container for gift giving.
The soap is also good for those with sensitive skin, as it doesn't leave the residue that some of the stronger commercial soaps can leave behind on clothes.
Have you ever heard of Soap Berries? I bought some at a craft fair several years back, and they actually work! They don't get sudsy like normal soap does, but there is some type of chemical in them that cleans the clothes. Below is a website that talks about them.
Take care, and have a great Holiday!
