Hi Frannie Big hugs and smilie hello's glad your back.
Dorothy
i moved back to beaumont to stay with crabby pants.
was in dialup hell for a while because the computer was attached to cp's phone line.
he couldn't stand for me to be online for any length of time because it might have interferred with him getting to scream, cuss and roar at telemarketers and slam the phone down over and over hard enough to break it.

boulder, colo. - a man suspected in the slaying of 6-year-old beauty queen jonbenet ramsey nearly a decade ago was arrested wednesday in thailand, the district attorney said in the long-awaited breakthrough in one of the nation's most lurid unsolved murder cases.
district attorney mary lacey said the arrest followed several months of work.
Justice?
That is very true LHG but if this man or who ever murdered this child isn't found that person will continue to abuse children and murder. The justice comes for any crimes that are prevented in the future. Not to mention the closure this little girls family needs to put the matter to rest.
This man has a record anyway and if he has worked with children in other countries in one instance he wrote that he cared for children seen to their baths and read to them after putting them to bed. The families of these children must be beside themselves now wondering if this man violated their children. He may just be a sick bastard so be it if he's a sick bastard that has inflicted hurt on children he needs to be stopped.
Big Tex I read a report this morning also that the suspect was living in an area that caters to the sex industry.
From the conflicting stories I've heard and read, this creep was up on charges in Thailand relating to sex with a child (which, apparently, the sex trade;is a big lure in that country)

"this case has [not] been resolved." The man is a suspect...saying anymore than that right now would indicate a person has been manipulated by the media. I hope, if this guy is the guilty one, he pays dearly for his crimes.Sincerely, Rabbit
Absolutely Rabbit, I hope if he is the one it is able to be proven to get him off the streets.
for me it is today.
about 80f with blue skies, and a light breeze.
for some reason it takes me back to my days of childhood - i even took a somewhat nostagic drive thru my hometown today.
Awww Jeff I understand all too well the overwhelming feeling we get to want to call and talk with brothers that have passed away.
This summer it has been the days spent in the backyard pool with my 6 year old grandaughter.
The long summer days while my children were growing up were priceless, we used every day we could at the lakes and river. *when not in service <> oh the losses
So far my perfect day involved a day at the beach by the sea, building sand castles and searching for sea shells. Nice warm day very little breeze. Near about perfect.

Having been a child advocate for a long time, I have followed this case with deep interest. The parents were not "proven" guilty they were made to look guilty by police. Police that admitted they had not followed protocal and may of made it impossible to ever find the person who committed this crime. and rabid media and press compounded and jumped on the story hungry for the next hot story, never mind if everything they report was true or not!
DNA evidence may very well be the proof they need. And what better way for a person to avoid detection than to stay out of the U.S.? DNA has proven persons found guilty of crimes, later exhonerated because the DNA tells the truth, eye-witnesses and power hungry officials, or tired cops can't always prove who done it. DNA evidence speaks for victims.
I rarely say I agree with anyone till the stories "done" but I agree this time I think it will be shown the parents were not involved in this little girls murder.
Just another opinion for what it's worth

just saw the movie v for vendetta, about a totalitarian government in the near-future england.
somehow it reminded me of the wtbts, in that whenever something happened, they would have the media "spin" it to cast events in the best light for the government, and the worst for whoever else might be involved.
anyone opposed to the government was automatically a criminal, terrorist, etc.
Just seen it a few nights ago, It was a hit here too. I liked the news reports on the TV in the back ground about the civil war and unrest going on the US at the same time they were having havoc in the UK.
got a phone call from my daughter who lives in florida a couple of hours ago.
her significant other who i chose to call my son-in-law (because he is the best thing to ever happen to her) got a phone call that his 6 year old daughter was killed in an auto accident near lake placid, florida and his 5 year old son is in very critical condition.
the ex wife is also critical.
WOW HappyDad you have been through the wringer, and I am so sorry for what has happened to you and your daughter!.

most here will know of the serious illness i've been fighting for the past two years.
well, this morning i decided to go for a stroll to try and help build up my fitness.
at the bottom of my street lives an elder from my old congregation and i have to pass his house.
Wow! (((((((((Ian))))))), Amazing what some people will do to act as if they have some sort of control over a person, he may of thought you would be sub-servient to his authority. I haven't seen an elder close enough to talk to them but I think I may of been afraid or timid in some way myself. so I'm glad you posted this expierience. Maybe your ability to speak up will come to my mind if I am ever put in a similar position.
Little Toe said this better than I could of, so I'll just reiterate:
Dozy:Most of the Elders I knew either were power hungry or had their heads up their asses. By far the minority were the kind that cared, and usually they would burn out.
We're from two different countries , and look the elders are the same every where. I remember having a talk one time to do with elders and asking for their spiritual help and how loving they are.... I would liked to of been able to add , please give us some for this congo!
Hugs to you and your family Ian Dorothy

the phrase is 'the truth is out there' and when we stumble across it by accident, it can't help but make a person wonder what else they never knew, and how pieces of the jigsaw gradually begin to fit together as we search for the 'truths of history'.. i love whitby.
whitby is a small town in the north yorkshire moors.
it sits on the coast with the magnificent ruins of whitby abbey dominating the sky line.
The age of these historical places is awesome to me Whitby is on the itenerary for the my next U.K. visit, It is totally inspiring! especially when it hit me I couldn't show my friends from England anything 500 years old or older here in Oklahoma U.S. The dirt, rocks and mountains is the only thing I know of thats been here hundreds of years and beyond.
Heres a cool Whitby site I had saved: http://www.faculty.de.gcsu.edu/~dvess/ids/medieval/whitby/whitby.shtml
