i have a post from another forum that i am very interested in, but, i would love to hear a few of your views on the subject.. i am now going to dig into my bible to have a look to see what he is talking about, but i know that the view of jehovah's witnesses is about as close to the best intereptation of the bible there is...this is the post..... "-the eastern or golden gate, which was sealed for almost a 1200 years is a key part to bible prophecy.

ezekiel recorded the prophecy about the closing of this gate.

he told how the lord brought him to the eastern gate.. .

1) of course they want to talk to you ever heard of love bombing! They want to recruit all the time!

2) "they try to find the answer" sorry to be mean but that is funny. Try asking questions you will get it is a new light, wait on Jehovah, serve more, read more. Try and question them better yet get baptized and after that ask a question you will see how quickly they answer it!

1) Ok your agnostic, but can still say that jw's have the best interpretation you obviously haven't done much research!!

2) you also don't know what jw's have done to others their shunning people, losing their lives for refusing blood transfusions, and the list goes on ever heard of a cult well that is what they are !! so i think they have the right to discuss it besides isn't this what this forum is for!!!!!!!!!!

i don't have to deal with this but i was thinking why should you guys go when

1) they shun you so if they don't have you in their home treat you like that why should you bother going to the funeral

2) when my ex's grandmother passed away they didn't go into the service(which was the hated Catholic ) they wouldn't go for anyone i cared for because we are worldly so why should any of you go for them

it's been 7 months since i told my ex i had enough of him and his jw parents.

after 5 years of him not moving on and not going back to them either, i realized i was not happy anymore and this was just draining.

time helps i am realizing how good it feels to be free and realize i deserve so much more.

Hi Everyone,

It's been 7 months since i told my ex i had enough of him and his jw parents. After 5 years of him not moving on and not going back to them either, I realized i was not happy anymore and this was just draining. Time helps i am realizing how good it feels to be free and realize i deserve so much more. I realized how you can't help these people get out especially him he doesn't want to. He has tried to talk to me because he has his own little world where he just works goes home and has no friends except me and one other person. Since he was disfellowshipped he never bothered to meet anyone because hey he doesn't need anyone!!!, and all his "friends" were from the hall. So it was better to harass me when jw's were at his parents house.

The part that still angers me and bothers me is their have their cake and eat it too mentality. I don't want to generalize i know they are not all like that. But it seems that in many non jw-jw relationships they seem to expect that you will put your life in limbo just to please them, because they are to cowardly to do what needs to be done. They will date a nonjw but follow other jw rules. I thought about this more because Saturday we had a big party for my parents 25th wedding anniversary. My family is majority Catholic so the priest came they renewed their vows etc. Well i know my ex would be a drag. Hating it when the priest came the service and oh no when the priest says in the name of the father son holy spirit and we make the symbol of the cross. He would beg me to go to his family functions and accept his jw rules and family but when it came to compromising and accepting mine no way! I am not saying we have to agree there are a lot of issues that i have with catholicism and religion in general, but they are really not tolerant and it's their way or no way.

Well now it is not his way anymore. I had a great time on Saturday with my family and friends and i realized with him i never did and never would. It would always be a problem and who needs that stress!!

Thanks for being so helpful when i have posted before. I have to say it again this forum really helps!! :)

it's old news that the watchtower bible and tract society has been trying to convert as many spanish speaking people as possible.

i remember how the watchtower gradually added more and more mexican people into their illustrations as the years went on.

You bring up a good point. I am hispanic, and the majority are Catholic, but with the population of hispanics growing at a fast rate and the fact that many are young this is a good population to recruit. You brainwash them nice and early!!!
