  does anyone know who is/are the ultimate insectors of the wt's finances?

  and is there any transparency in their finances and also accountability to the public?

  can we really know what they do with the profits?

  Does anyone know who is/are the ultimate insectors of the WT's finances? And is there any transparency in their finances and also accountability to the public? Can we really know what they do with the profits? There are times when I suspect there could be some other unknown entity behind the WTS taking much of the profit. This suspicion may sound far fetched and outlandish but Russell who set up this society was very likely a free mason or at least had connections to them. Could there be a vast conspiracy with the WTS acting as a business front for an antichristian free masonry, or something else? Cry conspiracy big time, sublime satanic images in the WT publications? Under the sparkling surface are there unknown depths, hidden, dark, very mysterious and insidious?

  Slow Fade Progresses

  i live in an environment that is hostile to the slow fade so i usually speak in general terms.

  do they at least indirectly encourage this to happen?

  Mamacat the situation here refers to marriages where one of the spouses WAS a JW and then left the org or was disfellowshipped, not to a situation where a spouse NEVER was a JW. The JWs particularly dislike those that were in the fold and left since to them they are cheap and worthless apostates worse than any worldly person.

  Tijkmo, mother and witch refer to the WTS they say they are the mother organisation (Jehovah being the father) so you expect them to be loving and helpful people but they are instead full of dark and destructive power like a witch. Even worse the father is a very severe, unforgiving, and exacting god so they are really in a pickle there. You got it now?

  Tijkmo when you come into this org thinking that you will find a loving mother and instead you find a dangerous witch it has to be a good dawn when you dare to break the bond that ties you to her and move on to something natural and creative. Being under her spell caused enough harm and it will do more if you stay longer. Don't forget their real slogan is not "preach and save" but "charm and harm".

  Thank you all for the replies as I understand it there is no formal policy on breaking marriages when one spouse leaves the org but the climate they create with their propaganda is such that it puts intense strain on such marriages and eventually most of them fall apart. The spouse that left the org usually has to go through a lot of psychological warfare and he/she then goes and finds a more peaceful and meaningful relationship.

From what I read on the forum I get the impression that most marriages do disolve in the above situation.

  Klaus you say "they have forgotten how to be the faithful and discreet slave." If we read their history carefully from Russell onwards we clearly see that they never have been a FDS but only impostors aggressively seeking to deceive people and build a financial empire out of it. That's why after all they are for ever trashing their own -stupid- theology and replacing it with a new one, it is flimsy or rather sleazy and certainly not of divine origin.

  James don't forget that the WTS god is not the real god of love but something they created and wrongly believe to be the real god. Their god is indeeed a very primitive, raw, cruel, and irrational character and oppresses with dread and anxiety the JWs that worship him and drives them into depression and misery. Remember also they are cut off from Christ thanks to their ridiculous other sheep concept, they don't partake in the bread and wine and are out of communion with him they have in essence lapsed back into a state of quasi judaism, the way they relate to the divine is fundamentally wrong based on fear and ignorance not love.
