Though obviously a cult it's amazing how many people got taken in, thinking that they are a respectable sincere religion, their persona (mask of disguise)must be good and fortunately on this forum a lot is done to expose it.

Forum plans and policy
by Simon inin case anyone is wondering about our registration policy:.
i don't intend to turn people away who want to register and post or make ultra-strict registration procedures because i honestly don't think that they work.
if i were to ask for names of congregations or presiding overseers then i have no real way of checking if they are correct.

Welcome to the forum Amionne your decision to get baptised at such a young age is courageous but I also think there is nothing wrong with postponing it for a couple of years because once baptised you undertake commitments that you may not really or fully understand at your age. Unless you are mature way beyond your age.

Welcome Cyborg and wish you will post here for a long time, it's amazing how the jw org has a similar mentality and behaviour patterns everywhere.

the Faithful and Discreet Slave
by Evanescence in.
hi i have heard jehovah's witness mention "the faithful and discreet slave.".

In their understanding the faithful and discreet slave (FDS)is a the body of JWs, that according to their statistics consists of around 8000 "annointed" persons out of the jw total of six million, and who believe that they will be taken to heaven during Armageddon whereas the rest of the jws will stay on earth.
Always according to them, this class has been approved by God to be his only channel for passing on religious truth to the world (an extra ordinarily grandiose claim)and generally possess an exclusive right to be representatives of god among mankind.
However in practice only the dozen or so members of the Governing Body of the jws (pretend to) operate in that capacity with all the rest being strictly forbidden to dispense any religious truth or contradict them in any way. Thus all authority to decide what the jws should believe and how their org should be run is decided by this tiny inner circle in Brooklyn, often with tragic results. -

Recent Assembly: You can be guilty of having "an apostate state of mind."
by truthseeker infound this on e-watchman.... http://e-jehovahs-witnesses.com/viewtopic.php?t=2911.
i just answered a question "off the top of my head" to a question which brought to my mind something that i heard at a talk at our assembly that has "bothered" me and i am hoping for some clarification as i would never want to be accused of what this topic is about .... .
it was a talk at our recent assembly that brought out a 'new one' for me ...or perhaps i just haven't heard of it as yet ... .

I think they are saying all these things as part of a psychological warfare that is calculated to deter people fron developping anti WTS thoughts. It's the usual mind control games.

They break up families with children when a JW decides to leave the cult, they are quite ruthless. I am so sorry about what happened to you.

WT Armageddon Drawings Described as "Aluring"
by Gerard inthis guy is currently undergoing bible study and before his critical thinking capabilities were utterly destroyed, he seemed to do a bit of research on wtbts on the internet, where he contacted me regarding rand cam shares owned by the wt.
i was happy to answer his questions and gave him some bonus material on the united nation's deal.
some days latter, he wrote back asking me if i considered the jw doctrine to be a cult, so i indulged him and sent him well written documents i found on freeminds.org as well a link to quotes, where he seemed to have spent some time looking at the armageddon picture gallery.

Their art was in my view was a statement of ignorance about issues they were too simple minded to grasp.

I feel so angry!
by Ellie in.
not really much point to this except i want to vent some anger but yesterday my little brother came round to my house for lunch, he is studying and living at the house of my jw sister, i myself have never been baptized so am not disfellowshipped but they all (with the exception of my little brother) treat me as though i where.. anyway, my little brother came round for lunch and the next thing my jw mum phones my house, asks to speak to my brother and gives him a telling off for being at my house because i'm bad association, and tells him that he has to spend more time with the members of the congregation.. he tries to explain to her that the members of the congregation don't want to know him, that he is sick of making an effort to be friendly with them when they just ignore him.. anyway, it finished with her telling him he is to go straight back to my sisters house and not see me again.. he is 24 years of age, surely its up to him if he wants to come to my house!.
sorry, i know there is no point to this, but i just wanted to let off some steam!

I am surprised that they treat you likes this since you never got baptised but this kind of behaviour shows how under the spell of a cult people, even parents can act very unaturally without realising it.

It goes to show that they are too ignorant to be god's channel on earth since all people are equal in Christ regardless of race.
