  JW versus Christian Sciencetolgy Similarities

  i just read some of tom cruises' comments on his belief cs and i found them disturbing.. not just his point of view, but it appears that his beliefs are black or white... no gray areas, every thought was so definite, almost final.. sounded a lot like the jw beliefs in that they are the only people who has it right and everyone else is wrong.. does anyone know any thing about christian scientolgy and are they similar in their beliefs to the dubs?

  what would the elders say if they came to your house for a jc meeting and you had a lawyer sitting in your house as a witness to the event?.

  Brooke, I hope you got a good grade on your paper.

  I had to give the talk "Growing into Womenhood" in the main hall

  4 minutes of embrassment.

  Dubs still remind me of how nervous I was.

  Yes, I heard it all the time.

  But usually from my Mom whenever I did some thing "bad".

  Did she think that this would make me want to be a dub?

  I don't think she got the result she was looking for, look at me know - Out of the Cult and Happy.

  this is my first post and here's my story.. my father became a witness long ago and my mom remained a lutheran.

  our attendance was sporadic due to mom's opposition.

  they knew our mom was lutheran and that she kept us from attending many meetings.

  so, i talked to my mother last night about this situation.

  If I was the couple I would personally escort anyone who attended the reception but did not attend the Wedding, unless they had a very good reason.

  Supporting the elders decision is not a good reason.

  I know a few couples who years ago could not get married in the KH because they had premarital sex.

  But those same elders who refused to allow them to get married in the hall, would still attend the reception, eating and drinking on the couples dime.

  It makes no sense.
