DJK - Like I said she tolorates - like I tolorate her overspending.
Loosie - Good point, he would rat me out in a second.
this weekend i accompanied a few friends to a strip club in manhattan.
my wife doesn't like it too much, but since i promised her that a lap dance is asfar as i will go with a stripper, she tolorates it.. imagine my surprise when i noticed that an elder from my old congo was there along with several of his co-workers.. he tried to ignore me but before we left i stopped by his table and said hello.. he actually had the nerve to ask me if it was okay for us to speak.
i said since we were both in a strip club, it didn't matter.. my question - should i mention this to dubs i still maintain relationships with, who incidently worship the ground this elder walks on?.

farting in bed and 'wafting' the smell up with the covers.

Picking wax out of your ear and then throwing it at your spouse.
Not that I've ever done that......

My question - Should I mention this to dubs I still maintain relationships with, who incidently worship the ground this elder walks on?
Should I contact him and tell him I am going speak to his body of elders?
Should I just as they say"What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" and forget the whole thing?
Most likely I won't say anything. I hope he is on his way out of the Borg and maybe this is one of his first steps towards achieving that.
a few weeks back i had the pleasure in meeting a druid.
chatting away about all things spiritual he informed me that he was married to a jw.
imagine my surprise.
My parents.
Mom's devout, my dad thinks the dubs are crazy.
However my dad made a good living, never stopped my mom form doing her own thing, and it allowed my mom to be the spiritual head and she could do her witness thing and be materialistic at the same time.
I've always thought that if my dad ever became a dub, mom would have left him.
She liked being in control.
....for saying "nappy headed hos".
he's off tv and radio.
personally, he's never been my favorite but i like him more than the reverend al sharpton!
I have listened to Imus on and off over the years, at at times I have enjoyed him and other times i've been offended.
In his defense, i know first hand of the good he has done for several minority and charitble organizations, including giving his time and money, however he crossed the line with comments about these young women.
These are kids for God's Sake, who are very talented not just as ball players and as students. This team, that incidently is not all black was insulted in front of the entire country when they should have been applauded for bringing their school the closest they have ever been to a national championship.
Some may feel that his punishment is harsh, but if my daughter had been a member of that team, I would sure as hell been shouting out for him to be fired.
As far as rappers or any one else using slurs to refer to various groups of people, I fire them as well, I don't purchase their products.
last week was my first, judy's second.
i was kinda dreading it but enjoyed every minute of the seven day cruise aboard grandeur of the seas that left new orleans a week ago saturday.
our stops included cayman islands (one of them) and two stops on the mexico coast, costa maya and cozumel.
My wife and I have gone on 2 cruises and we are both big fans.
We chose a crusie line that has freestyle eating arrangments which means that you can eat at any time you want, without assigned seating. You can also eat at one of 9 different resturants on the ship that are on par with an upscale resturant in a major city for an additional cost.
Since eating is a big deal on vacation for us, we always had dinner in one of the resturants and we usually drank good wine or scotch.
We also chose a suite instead of a cabin since we knew that unless we took an excursion off the ship, most of our time would be spent in our rooms.
It is not cheap, we probable spent about $3,000 per person, but we only take one big vacation a year so we save up for it.
That last time we took our 20 year old daughter and a relative and they found ways to enjoy themselves without our supervision.
I highly recommend cruises.
when you were a good active jw, would you have considered marrying a non jw or was this completely out of the question..
There is no way I would have married a non Dub girl.
Anyway, what "worldly" woman with any self esteem would have married the chavnistic, domineering, know it all that I was at that time?
I would have made her life miserable.
i am sure that everyone has heard of the dateline eposides of "to catch a predator".. it's pretty disturbing to see so many men who appear to be normal, are caught trying to solicit a sexual relationship with a minor.. i have 2 questions for you posters.. 1. do you consider the tactics of the dateline show entrapment?.
2. since several caught are from cultures that allow and often encourage adult men to marry much younger teenaged girls, should these men be charged with lesser charges?.
3. in you go back 50 years in you own family's history, where there marriage unions between an adult male and a teen aged girl?.

Don't get me wrong, there's something creepy and definitely wrong about a grown man offering sex to a teenager, but I will also acknowledge that right here in the USA marriages involving older men and teenaged girls was acceptable just a few decades ago.
Any comments?
i didn't know of some of these and question the status of others.

ida e. eisenhower (mother of president eisenhower) leopold engleitner - buchenwald concentration camp survivor and centenarian.
Terence Howard, Oscar nominated Actor - Raised as a Witless and married to a Witless.
i just saw this wonderful film, directed by m.night shyamalan, who also directed "the sixth sense", "unbreakable", "signs", and "the village".
basically, the film illustrates some philosophical points by means of a fairy tale.
i don't think the storyline is meant to be taken as literally true, only the points which the story illustrates.
I really liked this movie as well. It didn't get good reviews but I would still recommend it. I agree with Terapod that his best film is "Unbreakable".
