i prefere showers with water hot as i can stand and i don't mean in scrub up, rinse, out....linger uneder the water is so relaxing...what about you..?.
I am definitely a shower guy.
Always in the morning, and sometimes at night before I go to bed.
I do everything in the shower. brush my teeth, wash my hair, shave, dry off and then lotion myself all while I'm in the shower. Oh and pee... I know gross.
The water has got to be hot.
We have a jacuzzi in the master bedroom bath, I never use it.

i remember witnesses loving that songf and actually swubstituting "aquarius" with "asparagus"!

People in my hall used to subsitute the word fortune for the word luck - instead of Good Luck, they would say Good Fortune.

i wanted to know everyones opinion on him losing his show and his comments.. first of all i do think his comments warrant the cancellation of his show, but it should have never got that far.
when you are talking with family it should never leave the house.
it should stay behind closed doors.
It is true not all blacks use the n word, but I agree, I won't use the word because I don't want my white friends to use the n word.
Once you make it a practice to use certain words, it gets harder to filter out when to you it and when not to use.
You are better off never using the word if you want to avoid insulting some one.
Many blacks, my age and younger do not have the same emotional outrage when they hear the n word, because the word was never used in a negative way to us DIRECTLY, but there is still a generation of people alive today, that had this word used towards them as the ultimate insult, as a way to make you feel less that human.
If all of us Black and White remember how and why this word was used in the first place, then maybe none of us would ever use it.
I my opinion, maybe Dog's son feels that his dad is a racist, and his use of theN word is just proof of that.
After all, it is his father and let's face it, he knows Dog better than any of us.
When I first started working, I would tell my employers on my interview that I was a dub, and that I could not work late on meeting nights and that I would need to take time off for District Assemblies.
As I got older I just stopped mentioning it on interviews but I would always tell my co-workers as a way to prepare them for my non particiption in holiday and birthgay celebrations.
Once I began to fade, I just never mentioned it, which worked okay, until someone who knew that I at one time was a dub would "out me"
Believe it or not, I have been inactive for over 10 years and I still get "outed" every now and then.
New York City is a big town but small in many ways.
While you were a dub did you ever lie or decieve someone you had just met that you were not a dub?
Like maybe you started a new job or school or moved to a new neighborhood and you just didn't want to be known as a dub.
If so why did you do it?

She was a young newlywed whose husband (ministerial servant) was physically and emotionally abusive towards her.
She was in her early 20's had been raised a dub and was very naive.
She had an infant under the age of 1 and she just found out that she was pregant with her second child.
She begged her elder dad to let her move back home, but he refused her request stating that she must cling to her husband and not bring reproach on Jehovah's name.
She threw herself off the roof of her high rise apartment building and killed herself.

i believe that many would.. while some might think this is farfetched, i can cite some examples that manifest a lack of concern.
for the lives of others, that could easily be extended into murder or manslaughter.. 1) forcing older brothers into jobs at bethel that were far too strenuous for them - as a means of.
I don't want to believe that Dubs could kill, but you made some important points.
I would like to add, what about those parents of children who needed blood but the parents refused transfusions to save their lives? some would say that this is murder.
What about parents who have thrown their own children out of the home, because that were disfellowshipped, when this kids had no means of support or anywhere to go? If the kid ended up dead, is not the parent at least partially responsible?
What about those of you who grew up as dubs, how many times were you told when you misbehaved that if you were back in the Israelite times you would be stoned to death for your conduct? Isn't that murder?
I'm not saying that all dubs could commit murder, but I am sure there is a sizable percentage that would under the right circumsatnces commit murder in the name of their religion.
my major claim to fame was that i studied with a family that i found from house to house and all 6 got baptized.
within a year's time, the mom and daughter got baptized and then within the next year and a half all the others followed suit.
2 of the kids became bethelites and the other daughter became an elder's wife.
5 form the house to house work.
About 4 who were children of single mothers, I studied with their sons ad a few got baptized.
I've lost contact with most, so I don't know where they stand now.
