A long overdue statement

most of you have seen me post under my alias truthsetsonefree.

some call me "tsof" which is cool too.

one or two of you know me by my real name.

I admire your sacrifice in staying in the cult with the hopes of helping others.

I have 2 questions:

1. Are you concerned that because your actions in some cases are opposite of the teachings of the organization that you are a member teaches young minds that it is okay to behave in a way that deceives people about your true intentions or beliefs? Might this not send the message that honesty is not always the besst policy?

2. Are you sure that your dubious behave does not have a profound negative effect on your mental health?

Everyone must make their own choices in life, but sometimes those choices can have a lasting effect on not just our lives but on those we love.

Children especially, learn not only from what we say, but also what we do.

At best your course of action would be very confusing for a young person.

Did you buy new clothes for the Memorial?

i was just wondering how many people went out and bought new clothes for the memorial.

did you feel like it was a festive holiday like easter or did you just feel like it was another meeting that you had to attend?

My mom certainly made sure that every one in the house had new clothes and shoes for the memorial.

I know it was silly, but it was the only thing that made the event important to me.

Do you look better or worse

the other day i was looking at some old photos of my wife as a young witless teen.

several of the pictures were taking at assemblies and gatherings/weddings.. what amazed me is that she looks better today than she did as a witless teen or early twenties.

i don't mean just the expression on her face, but also the way she was dressed.

What amazed me is that she looks better today than she did as a witless teen or early twenties. I don't mean just the expression on her face, but also the way she was dressed. She looked like a unhappy girl dressed like an old lady.

I then looked at some photos of myself, I didn't look much better - I just didn't look very happy, completely different from the way we look today.

What do you see when you look at old pictures of your self? Does it resemble the person you are today?

looking back at the 10 or so cases of disfellowshipping i recall, i think only 1 was due to the orwellian borg spy system.

he was ratted out.. all the other cases were actually "confessions" by people that otherwise would have gotten away with it.

i am wondering is these percentages.

I confessed, but I had a reason.

I was in a bad marriage and I wanted out.

Unfortunately, she refused to accept my adultry, and forgave me, so I still couldn't get a scriptural divorce.

in today's new york daily news mohamed al fayed, the father of dodi, who died in that paris tunnel along with princes di, is quoted as saying the the "nazi" prince philip, prince charles' father ordered a british secret agent to kill the couple.. do you believe there is any truth to this, or is this a greiving father grasping at straws to reconcile his son's death?

for those of you that have been dfed - how long did it take you to be reinstated, and how long did you continue to be active?.

i was reinstated after 5 months out and i continued to be active for about 5 years.. although i have to admit, i never felt the same about the dubs after i was reinstated, and should have quit the religion much earlier.

Did you "cry" when the JW's elders Disfellowshipped or Disassociated you?

my niece who is 19 and involved with a "married" man had to meet with her jw's elders last week.

she was terrified because the elders have told her time and time again to get rid of her "married" boyfriend but she refused.

she is head over heels in love with the guy.

Well yes and no.

I did not cry at my JC meeting, as a matter of fact, I out talked, and our scriptured the elders. I was very bitter and I felt betrayed by the elders. I was in a very bad marriage and my elders contributed to some of the problems me and my wife were experiencing.

In fact I told them to "Kiss my Black Ass" at one point, so it was no surprise that I was DFed.

However the afternoon before they announced me dfed, I went to see the movie ET and I started crying at the end of the movie, when ET goes back home and I couldn't stop. Even after the movie ended and the lights came up in the theater, I was still crying. People in the theater must have thought that I had lost my mind.

That night I went to the hall to hear my name read aloud, I had decided that if my family had to sit there and here my announcement, I would be there as well.

It was tough and many of my friends and family started to cry - which of course made me feel horrible. I refused to shed a tear in front of the dubs, but after the final prayer I quiclky left and as I was driving home, I started to cry so much that I needed to pull over on an embankment.

I now realized that I was mouning my death as a witless.

"Ice", "Meth" Is this a problem in your town???

i moved to dallas a few months ago, and started hearing about a drug that i hadn't heard of before.

it is called "ice".

evidently, it is a methamphetamine, and extremely addictive.

Sorry that you a living in such an unhealthy environment.

Call legal aid in you county and get some advice about breaking your lease. I am pretty sure that you have grounds to break your lease legally, get your deposit back, and maybe even moving expenses.

I know you probably feel bad for your landlord, but you have got to think about your own saftey.

Get the leagl advice you need and get away fromt here as soon as you can.
