I don't quite know. I'm not a doctor, psychologist, lawmaker or anything related and only know a small amount about this compared to an "expert."
You must think that these"experts" always or most of the time make the right decision? Wonder how many "experts"set a pedo free to reaffend?
I can only hope the elders would do everything within legal means to keep the children he may come in contact with safe
Yeah...they have a real good track record for protecting children
We can all do more to help others, but it has to be balanced with helping our own families and our own well being

No.... it is the expert opinion of many medical experts that work at Atascadero state and have seen many times over people let out and reoffend.

I would guess that since his name is printed in the newspaper, people in that congregation will know about him.
Yes they will know about him but this won't stop them from going out in service with him.Before you ask how do I know...because I have seen it first hand.
I know I certainly don't know more than the fellows who have worked to rehabilitate him, so until then I can't rightly criticize. All I can say is that I'm glad he's not being let loose where I live.
Yeah ...your right ...as long as it doesn't happen in our neighborhood or anyone that we know ...who cares about kids we don't even know...

A devout Jehovah's Witness, Verse has asked to live in the Martinez area close to a church where he can practice his faith.
Looks like I will be taking a trip up to the Bay area....so that I can go door to door.Does anyone have a picture of this freak of nature?? Would be much appreciated.
Thi Chi....I have many friends that work at Atascadero state hospital. NO...they cannot be rehabilitated.Once they get the "taste for blood" there is no going back.

Interesting that you bring this up. I work part time as a bartender.and last night I was discussing this with 3 people sitting at the bar. One man was 65 years old(Joe) , one man was 24 years(Jim) and the woman(Deb) was about 40. No one knew eachother.(Sometimes I think we can be more open with strangers than with people we know..maybe thats why I come to this site)
Jim was having doubts about marrying his gf of 5 years.He felt that maybe there was someone out there that might be better for him although he was pretty happy in his relationship. Joe felt that you meet that right person once in your lifetime and you should not let it pass you up. I said I felt this was a fantasy and that there are ALOT of right people(finding them is the trick) .I also pointed out that I thought that my husband was the right person but later found out this was not the case at all (I married someone Just like my father....bad mistake!!) Deb was on the fence .
I also felt that Jim was too young to get married, I think your not really mature enough to make that decision until your into your 30's...you know yourself better and what you want out of life and a mate.
So to answer your question...I don't really believe in the "soulmate" concept.
I also don't believe in love at first site.....just because you are strongly attracted to someone's looks there is no way you know what is going on in their head....likes ,dislikes, goals,habits.. ect ect. I have fallen for very good looking men to find out later that I could'nt stand their personalities , I also met guys that I was not attracted to initally and later got to know them and they became more and more attractive to me.
