  I can vouch for that being the walmart in Evansville...the Home Depot is next door...I lived just outside E'ville for almost 8 years...that was where I had my first contact with the witnesses...and ALMOST got sucked in... TB

  I'm a grandma again

  our 9th grandchild was born early this morning, a boy named gideon david.

  he is the first child for our youngest son.

  he has red hair like his daddy, grandpa, uncles and two of his cousins.

  My Dad died this evening

  i thought i would let you know that my dad, passed away a little while ago, tonight, january 23. they called me at 6pm to tell me.

  he had been failing rapidly for the past month, and had completely lost his hearing and was totally blind.

  the dementia was extreme too, and he still knew me on thursday, but didn't wake up to know me in the following days.

  Do you charge your 18+ kids rent?

  i've been wondering what people think about this.

  as soon as i turned 18 and had an income (it was disability but income just the same) my parents began to charge me room and board.

  is this common practice?

  We don't charge my 18 year old son "rent"..he does pay for his car, insurance and all that and cell phone. I'd rather he save the money for going to school. (He moved back home from out of state so has to wait to get in-state tuition rates). He's not sure what he wants to do as far as school, etc. but the joy of having him home after 6 years living with his dad just makes him that much more dear. And, he's a good kid, works hard (got a job w/in 2 weeks of coming home), and helps out w/his brother (the 15 year old "pill") and grandmother (another long story). We don't feel like he needs to pay rent...So, we don't expect "rent". Now...that said, if he CHOSE to not help out and be a "border", we've told him that he would be responsible for 20% of all household expenses (5 people living here, so he'd pay 1/5).

  well, last night was from hell.

  about four months ago my wife and i brought in to our house a stray kitten.

  looked healthy, vibrant etc.

  Our vet told us to NEVER use Hartz anything on our furbabies...What we do is use Sevin dust outside on the lawn (apply a couple times a year) and Advantix on the babies. Our kitty babies are indoor only so we don't fret much. Our new furbaby (Half Giant Schnauzer and half German Shepherd) is on Advantix and Heartguard. We had him bathed, dipped and groomed at the vet's the other day.

  I'm SOOOOO sorry to hear about your furbaby...amazing how the little 4 legged creatures can walk in and steal our hearts...((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))))))))
