the hospital chaplain just called.
my baby's body has been returned to the hospital following post-mortem examination at a specialist children's hospital.
so, the funeral can go ahead soon.. we have opted for a cremation.
Dear Fe,
I agree, the baby garden sounds beautiful. Please let us know, if you're willing to share, what you do pick for music etc. My love all the way from Wisconsin to you and your husband & family.
I pm'd you, too. Are you doing okay?

Searcher- completely off the subject: is that little avitar your puppy? I am instantly in love. I'd steal him from you in an instant! Probably one of the cutest puppies I've ever seen. Is it a shitzu?
Just curious

ps. Lovin the coat, btw
i was just reading the thread on how to pick the proper pumpkin.
(thanks xandria) it got me thinking how i still have this recoil factor when it comes to halloween.
it was always "satan's holiday" that i still tell my friends that i probably won't participate in the festivities when i decide to have children.. what do you guys do about this issue?
Good one Badger! So I should dress like my mom to keep in the spirit of the demonistic holiday!?! Just kidding, she isn't that bad.
Thanks all, anyway, for the input. I think I'll be able to hand out candy with little guilt now.

this from the magazine 'wired' http://www.wired.com/news/medtech/0,1286,65252,00.htmlmore than 500 different species of bacteria exist in our bodies, making up more than 100 trillion cells.
because our bodies are made of only some several trillion human cells, we are somewhat outnumbered by the aliens.
it follows that most of the genes in our bodies are from bacteria, too.
Satanus, there is an interesting sci-fi book on this very subject. Its called Darwin's Radio by Greg Bear. He basically theorizes (using a fictional story line) that a virus all humans carry induces evolution. I really enjoyed the book, but unfortunately never got to finish it.
If you have time or inclination, check it out. Its a fairly intelligent book.

I'm AWARE, thanks Ona. I work in a department with lots of men around. Nothing but swearing and pouting going on the day after a game. I love the Pack, always will....but when they drive up the use of the Employee Assistance Program (a free counciling service at work) by 75%, we have a major problem on our hands.
Please God, let the defense get it figured out, please.....
~Snap, right in the heart of Green Bay fever country
so, the day has finally come.
i'm finally going to see a therapist to work out all my issues.
i'm very nervous.
Ditto to Billygoat, nb. We want updates! (uh, only if you're comfortable sharing, of course.)

Cicatrix: that is a great article, thanks. I printed it off and will keep it for future defense reasons. I am going to do a bit more research on my own to confirm the theologian's claims, though. I don't want any loop holes for my active JW family. Thanks a bunch.
Room: I completely agree with your assesment of fall. All those things you mentioned do thrill me. They're my consolations to the fact that I can't play outside in the dirt for another 6 months.
Nancy and Billygoat: I suspect that your attitudes are where I'm headed. It just seems like the natural path to follow.
Under74: Do you pass out candy at the door, and decorate your house? I haven't been able to do those two things yet. I'll admit to going to my sister-in-laws house one Halloween, but I just couldn't work up the nerve to pass out the treats. I was so nervous.
Any ideas about what I should dress like for a party I'm going to on the 31st? I don't think I'll ever get into the more ghoulish aspects of the holiday. I really can't think of any clever costumes, though.
