  Why do JW's allow wedding rings?

  recently we had a post where a non-jw asked what to expect at his jw's wedding.

  he was told not to expect certain things that have a pagan background such as rice-tossing or the bride throwing a corset to the virgins unmarried girls at the reception.. but somehow wedding rings are allowed at jw weddings!.

  any idea why?.

  when i was a young pioneer, reaching out for ministerial servant, i was asked by the elders to talk to a fellow pioneer (and m.s.

  ) about his hygiene.

  quite frankly, he smelled.

  first of all let me state: i read hid book two years ago.. second: is this i have corresponed with him also.. third i strill have this one question about his intergity toward mankind...he only wrote about the wrong doings of the gb after he was dfed.

  most of us on this board stop going and da ourselves after we found out about the channel to god was a big joke.

  all i see is mr. franz has used his position as an ex gb to make a very nice living for himself in his latter years.. i feel if he wasn't dfed he would still be hanging on to the beliefs of the jw's and still be letting innocent people die, because he didn't come forth and spill his guts while he was on the gb.. really letting all of us think that there was a direct channel to god through the gb makes him as blood guilty as those that are still there votinbg 2/3 whether the poor jdubs should live or die.this voting cost me a son that died of leukemia and a wife of a rare blood disorder.. yes, he may be a hero to most of you but if he had made a stand and walked away telling what he told after he was dfed then he would be a hero to me also, but he has play both ends against the middle and came out smelling like a rose.. when i found out about the malawi and mexico thing i stopped going and daed myself right after my wife passed away.

  Ray was doomed either way and anyone who knows how the Watchtower Propaganda Corporation works will agree

  100% right. The WTBS would not tolerate any dissension among the ranks. Which is why he was booted in the first place. And to further my point that's why I never made GB. For simply refusing to remove my hat.

  have some jw's who you were close to,try to get you back to the meetings?what did they do?.

  one woman i knew..tried to make me feel guilty with letters...saying it was like i stabbed her in the gut.she also gave me, my pictures back,of myself and my daughter.yeh thats a winner.just last year she gave someone i know..pictures i drew back to me, as well ,other pics of my daughter that were hanging around her house.. yeh sure,thats gonna win me over.

  Believe me, if you were active and now not going you are "stabbing her in the gut" as she has to try to make sense of you, as well as SO MANY, deserting the ranks of JWS. Bravo to you. Tell her to get bent.

  hl and i are for a week, we're going to madeira again and this time we are walkin' the levada's!.

  here's where were going, its a portuguese territory a few hundred miles off the coast of west africa:.

  tomorrow morning we head for cardiff airport, it's a slight worry as the severn bridge is closed today because of high winds, if it stays closed we have an extra 100 miles to drive around via the m50.. see ya in about a week!.

  60% of Jehovah's Witnesses leaving?

  i have just posted some of the audio from the 2002 witnesses now for jesus convention at http://www.jwinfoline.com/page/audio_tapes_of_month.htm more to come shortly.. on sunday evening a jehovah's witness still active in the watchtower and said that 55 - 60% of jehovah's witnesses have stopped attending in some kingdom halls.

  has anyone else noticed a significant drop in kingdom hall attendance?

  is there something big going on inside the wt organization that outsiders may not be aware of?.

  as has been stated already, the presentation made from the silent lambs source in connection with the child abuse issue completely misrepresents my position.

  when i spoke by phone recently with the author of that presentation, and pointed out that i had never expressed the views presented, his comment was that from his previous conversation with me (held some months earlier) he "got the impression that i was not on the same wave length" with him.

  Your words however reminded me of what an elder said to me in 1973. He stated that if the WT said that the JWs should start celebrating christmas he would do so without question. That statement was what started many years of soul- searching for me in regards to my 100% loyalty to the organization. Is it man or an organization that I align myself with or is it truth?

  Touche kelsey007 Touche. Your above quote, so true as it is, leaves me so sickened and gut wrenched. To think of the 100% loyalty that our family had to this organization and what a waste it turns out to have been, even as we post here. I have experienced the same mentality from so many still duped in the confinds of that cult.
