They left the file cabinet opened in the "Elders Room" by accident. I opened every single sealed envelope. WOW some of the shit that goes on.

WHAT'S THE WORSE THING YOU DID AT THE MEETING?
by Mary ini would have to say the worst (aka: funniest) thing i ever did at a meeting was when i sat with the circuit overseer and his wife (many moons ago......) .
anyway, he was really prim and proper and she was of course, a very submissive wife who barely spoke without her husbands permission.
anyway, he goes to the platform and starts off by asking th audience: who was ahab?

The Rich Get Richer......
by VioletAnai inhttp://news.ninemsn.com.au/world/story_36095.asp
i think you know where i'm headed with this....... i just don't understand how many praise our economic system and yet it leaves millions behind.
it denies many necessities from many people all for the sake of the comforts of the rich nations.

My Opinion, America is still the land of opportunity! One must ask oneself am I an achiever, or am I a taker?

Hello I'm new here...
by Lapuce ini really love this web site and yes i'm a jw still, have been for 8 years now, i'm 35 and am married to a jw and have two boys one is 1-1/2 and the other 5. for about 2 to 3 years now i'm starting to see that its not really the truth.
the brothers, sisters and elders dont really care about anyone, the watchtower is ruining my life, i have been depressed for awhile now and i'm on anti depressants as i started feeling suicidal as i'll never be good enough as i hate meetings, i hate going door to door, and it doesn't make any sense that jehovah will destroy good people just because they don't follow its doctrins.
its like saving to your son if you don't do what i tell you i will kill you.

WERE YOU CONSIDERED A GOOD EXAMPLE?
by minimus inhave you ever had to deal with the thought that you really weren't that good of an example?
perhaps, the congregation was encouraged to pioneer or reach out for bethel service or go to seldom worked territory, etc.
and when you applied, you were told that you didn't qualify.

friend's encounter with jws,this may interest U.
by badboy in.
my friend was swiddling with his car when he noticed a group of jws going door to door, one of them (a lady) approached him and said they wanted to interest him in the bible etc etc.. he said that jesus christ was the head of his household so he couldn't accept wt publications.. he also said u should pratise your faith or something similiar.. he also made an interesting observation, all the jws were carrying laptop computers!.
the idea, being they could beam images onto your living room wall or insert a cd rom into the laptop to show u things.. my friend believes they r carrying out a test run using laptops in their ministry.. is he right?.

ELDER'S WIVES AND CHILDREN
by minimus inhave you ever noticed how some elder's families are the worst example in the congregation?
some wives lord it over the rest and think they are special , while some kids get away with all sorts of things because of big daddy.
have you ever had a problem because an elder's family got away with something and you got blamed for it?

I'll say it again, the "ELDER ARRANGEMENT" needs to be disbanded. That goes for the strict, as well as, the, loose canon elders.

JAH REASONS WITH DICTATORS OF SODOM
by You Know inpeter once wrote concerning paul's writings, saying: "in them, however, are some things hard to understand" that being the case, it is understandable why jehovah opened his long-running dialogue with israel, through isaiah, by saying: "my own people have not behaved understandingly.
" further, in that 1st chapter, at verse 10, jehovah addresses the leaders of his people saying: "hear the word of jehovah, you dictators of sodom.
give ear to the law of our god, you people of gomorrah.
