i have always wondered why so many jws i knew suffered from the illness "m.e" previous to being a jw i never heard of this illness but when joining the borg i noticed noticed so many jws saying all of a sudden they had m.e maybe its a jw disease trend.
anyhow what does m.e stand for.. haujobbz
I knew of 2 people within the Borg Borg, that has this pseudo disease. And it all stemmed from an abrupt change in their FINANCIAL situation. From riches, back to rags & welfare. Due to stupid, consecutive bad decisions. i.e. "I think I'm gonna pioneer"

the way we were taught as jehovah's witnesses made us think everyone who didn't evangelize was in deep trouble.
1 corinthians 9:16 was often quoted at us by every travelling overseer who wanted to exhort the congregation, and that verse says in part, "necessity is laid upon me.

lately, i see a trend going on regarding how congregation members view the elders.
more and more, i hear people say "i wouldn't tell anything to the elders if they questioned me.years ago all an elder had to say is "we want to talk with you" and a meeting commenced.
now, there is a view that the elders can't tell me what to do anymore.

ok...i havn't been able to catch up on my payments on my insurance..so most likely it's expired...but i recieved a speeding ticket...and i'm screwed!

Beg Borrow or whatever to pay the fine. Then don't drive w/out insurance. Better to wait if you have to.

i have done alot of posting on different boards since i started on the internet.
i have found that jw's are really not as "seperate" from the world as they claim to be.. as a jw i was told we had to be "seperate" from the world.
you know, get drunk, use drugs, abuse our families, cheat on taxes, lie, be greedy, etc.. but from what i have seen in my old congregtion, and the stories i have read here and on other boards, this statement isn't really true.
Jdubs that say they are separate from the world are full of night dirt. Their claim to being so, is just part and parcel of the arrogant, condescending, hypocritical (a.k.a. theocratic) bs attitude, that they exude due to the constant mind control they swallow from the WBTS. 1) i sacrificed work offered to me so i could earn more money.
2) i sacrificed my job as a well payed dj.
3) i sacrificed weekend ly-ins to go out preaching.
Sacrifices to many to name but,
