one thing that the witnesses promote is how they are different from the rest of the world.

in your personal experience , did you find that you could trust a witness more than you could a non-jw?

as ive made it known on this board, my current status with the watchtower bible and tract society is that of inactive.

this is a loophole i have utilized, to keep an open channel of communication with family members in the organization.. i want to clarify with everyone: i do not hold any doctrinal ideas, theology, ideology, opinions expressed in any form by the wtbts.

therefore, to simply put, i do not believe in the wtbts in any way, shape, or form.

Cars for Service

do you remember how many people would buy a car, with service in mind?

i remember people talking about how not to buy a 2 door, because it is not as good for going out in service.

people would be looked down upon big time if they bought a sporty or compact car.

District Assemblies and Coventions

it just occured to me...lets say it takes the society 1 million dollars to print the awake...twice as much for the watchtower ...on top of which they have new bibles 500k brochures another two million or so...pamplet 200k ...new books at coventions 2 million again (this is just estimating not actuality..i don't know the real numbers) ...insight books...another 200k ...revelation books ...so forth so forth..lets say their total number of sales in one year alone is 7 million dollars... not to mention the people living in bethal and going on missionary trips all over the world ...plane tickets... co's expenses...do's expeses...new cars given to the co's and district overseer's.

feeding everyone at bethal...(not just in brooklyn but alllllllllllllll over the world) ny has 3 places ...that's just one country...not to mention the other 266 countries that repeat all these things.

did it ever occur to anyone that they might have all these assemblies and coventions sole reason not because they wanted to "feed" the sheep..but to make money from donations so they can sustain their life style of never really having to work?

Another thing that never occured to me until the last district convention I went to, was how they parade all the people who are in charge of the "contribution boxes" around the stadium while we all stood there singing a song. All but saying "Don't forget to give now"

Seattle - Press Conference Success - Pics

we had a total of 5 people show up, including myself, bruce baker presented the lamb, and left a press packet on the door, with copys of the new york times articles.

i got some pictures and video, and we had a reporter for the seattle times, and komo tv 4 show up, they both talked with us for almost an hour.

it was great to have a couple of people share they're personal experiences about being molested with the reporters.

Dubs showed up at Dallas press conference

ok, well we had 7people total to support the silent lambs.

it was me,valis, my roommate, country girl, and 3others from oklahoma.. we had 2 reports show.

one was a talk radio station, and another was from a tv station---no camera though.. the reporter from channel 8 is wanting us to do a documentary type thing.

i have been disfellowshipped for 2 weeks.

my story the shortened version.. i left the organisation 2years 2 months ago.

i live 25 miles from the kingdom hall that i attended for 29 years, man and boy.

In this area, there is literally a long laundry list of people who have just ceased in coming back to meetings. Some of them have not been there for years.No action thus far has been forthcoming not one has been Df'd or DA'd. I guess it must depend on how anxious the "Elders" are to "clean things up".

If they try that here, I intend to sue each one individually that make up the JC! I wonder how they will feel to get a docket with their names on them.
