  i remember once doing the closing prayer for field service.

  at the time, i didn't know what to believe, and was simply going through the motions.

  i would much rather been in bed.

  the history channel had a spt.

  11 show on last night, and most of it was the same ol' same ol'---but something did catch my attention.. video was being shown of people evacuating lower manhattan, and the brooklyn bridge was filled to capacity with people.. the voice over says, "people fled every way they could--they streamed across the bridge to brooklyn.".

  now, i'm wondering, if you had just left ground zero and you were one of the ones runningon the bridge--and you saw a big sign that said--.

  Gee I wonder if those at ground zero were thinking as they were crossing the Brooklyn Bridge, (and in plain sight of the CENTER OF TRUE WORSHIP[tm]) that wow, just....wow, maybe I should have taken the Watchtower & Awake when I had the chance. This has to be Armeggdon. JW's were right!

  if so, was that always policy?

  does that apply to married couples or just singles?

  on the basis of the sacrifice of jesus christ, have you repented of your sins and dedicated yourself to jehovah to do his will?.

  Uggh is right! What a weak-minded shallow arguement. Especially when you consider what the consequences are should any go wayward after getting dunked. It's sickening

  Similar religions to JW

  ok everyone....i have noticed that there are a few other religions out there similar to the jw's.....for example...i have a friend who has a sister that who belongs to a non-denominational christian church.....she feels that her church is the "only way" to god...and also too it seems as though she looks down on anyone who does not go to her church....they have weekly bible studies on monday or tuesday nights...they even have a "field service" in which they go out to neighbors trying to get them to come to that particular church....does anyone else out there know about the other ones similar to the jw?

  as the ranks of jw's continue to deplete, what are your thoughts on meetings and assemblies being disrupted or heckled by angry ones as more eyes become open to this cult and the damage it has done.. anyone?.

  Great Post Gwen

  In addition I'd like to add the point that Jesus Christ was 30 years old when he was baptized. So to those younger than that, please consider that. Hopefully before you reach 30 you'll change your mind.
