Greetings unconfused,
I have a Panasonic Plasma & Samsung with DLP technology. It's much better than the plasma IMO. It's a 52" and only weighs approx 75 to 80 lbs.

i don't know why, but i was just thinking of this guy in my hall that sang so loud that it was embarassing to just be there.
he sounded like the love child of kermit the frog and miss piggy.
i remember trying to mimick his voice during one song and getting counseled by one of the bros because i had a few of younger guys laughing.
I sang loudly on three songs:
1. Foward You Witnesses
2. We're Jehovah's Witnesses
3. Christian Warriors (Pink Song Book)

i'm looking for the art that was in the back of the "sing praises to jehovah" songbook.
i tried some image searches, but no luck.
anybody know where i can find this without actually purchasing the book?
It's an interesting pic. Not enough sandals for the number of bodies. They forgot one leg or something to that efffect. I used to stare at it instead of paying attention to that goddamn watchtower study.

this mornings events have got me thinking about things.
i love peanut butter, not the sweet kind but i like the old fashioned peanut butter, usually laura scudder's with no sugar or preservatives - it just tastes better imo.
i put it on everything including pancakes which are really good with peanut butter and maple syrup.
We had beef bone marrow & Pot Au Feu the other night. Spred the beef marrow on french bread instead of butter.

yep..a church here in mo was in the news today.
they are headed for the streets to witness to the passerbys.. they said they are following christ's footsteps.
people even stopped in their cars and rolled the windows down..and gave them an opportunity to "preach" to them.. then the "preacher" put a ash cross on the person's forehead.. hummm....reminds me of when the witnesses first started going out in service..i wonder when the church will start branching out from the streets and actually go door to door?.
Those nutjobs would need M1 tanks to try and pull that today. Great pics Gary.

she just read it and handed it back to me.
i think she believes me because i have never told her anything regarding the jw's that wasn't true.
she really didn't have anything to say about it, and i didn't question her.
Greetings oppgirl63,
She really didn't have anything to say about it...
Giver her time, perhaps she won't totally short circuit.

a fledging relationship goes up in smoke.
it was 1973 and the wt was in full cult mode.
they wanted to purify the organization in preparation for the coming "great day of jehovah.
Greetings truthsetsonefree,
Another very sobering life story due to that dispicable, cult The Watchtower. Thanks for sharing. It will help lurkers here understand and see just how divisive and maniacal their edicts are. So possibly some good will come out of you sharing it. Thanks tsof.

30 of my 40 some years on this mortal coil have been spent as a witness.
once i was old enough to realize the meetings were not a place to play and run around i understood the gravity of my situation.
"just love jehovah and do his will" i was told.
Greetings DnC

there were other people who either killed themselfs or tried to kill themselfs while they were at "the house of god.
one person who did kill himself was richard wheelock, press room overseer ......he jumped out of a window at the watchtower farm one day.......it seemed, he was never quite the same after his wife "willy" died..she seemed to be the only one that he could relate to.......which would make sence.....because he sure couldn't relate to any of us in the press room..........he would come over to our press and say "here is the work... get in out".......then just walk away.......he was not the type of person you would really want to talk to anyway......but wouldn't it be nice if just now and then, like every year or two, they might ask you how you were doing?.........you laugh.......but its true......i asked a friend of mind who was the press operator of press # 6 which at the time was one of the three biggest presses at bethel.
he had been in the press room for 4 full years.
Thanks again NB. I've read everyone.
