personally, i could care less about god and/or jesus, have no use for either of them, very disappointed in how they run things.

and when i die, i hope i get the chance to tell him/them that.. there was a great song in the late 80's early 90's by depeche mode called blasphemous rumours(spelling ?

) "i don't want to start any blasphemous rumours, but i think that god has a sick sense of humour, and when i die i expect to find him laughing.".

Joseph Smith lived and died broke. He never had money. What he did have was what members of the church gave directly to him out of love.

Sure can elaborate, Kenneson. Vicarious ordinances have been around since OT times. Christ taught the Apostles of this, but He commanded them not to tell anyone. Secrecy was a big part of their ministry. The scriptures are replete with references to secrets. The thing is, if you write 'em down, they're not secrets, so you don't hear about most of them. There's a lot of stuff that the Apostles taught that isn't in the Bible.

How to receive knowledge of the existence of God:

1) Want to believe.

2) Let that desire grow to the point where you feel the need to act upon it.

3) Read the scriptures. We recommend the Bible and the Book of Mormon.

4) Apply the commandments to your life. Obey them as best you can.

5) Pray for an assurance that what you have read is the truth, and that God lives, and that Jesus is His Son.

6) Want to receive an answer.

7) Repeat steps 3 - 5 until you receive an answer from God.

8) Continue to repeat steps 3 - 5 throughout your life, as your faith will rise and fall with the circumstances in your life.

If you can complete these steps you will receive an answer. Until you have done it you cannot say whether it works or not. I have done it and it has worked. I invite all of you to do the same.

Patronizing is just a sign of immaturity and insecurity. If you just want to call it a draw I'm fine with that, but don't act like children. It just akes atheists look that much more uninformed.
