my husband had told her that i didn't believe in the trinity.. i'm having a really hard time being open to the trinity.

after those traitors portsmouth failed to act as our safety cushion at the bottom the the premiership and stormed up the league, we needed things to work out this weekend.. our victory yesterday again newcastle (sorry gadget & kenuk) plus bolton's 4-1 thrashing of leeds means that it practially guaranteed that leeds join leicester & wolves gonig down to division 1 instead of us !.

I try to follow World football/soccer by being an avid fan of World Cup. I tried to follow the European Cup games but without premium sports tv and the time difference, it's too much.

At least i straggle along with 1 every 4 years and we get to see who the world champions are :-)

Do you lie about your age in your profile???

we all have to be careful about how much information we give out over the net,,it is wise and prudent in some areas,, but what about age???.

now i know many women don't like to admit they are over 29 what do you think is the percentage of correct profiles in reguards to age??.

this is private information and i don't want this to be a prying type of thread just reasonable discussion.

User profiling is normally done when identity theft is in mind, or stalking among other things...

I had someone try to be me once... on IRC... I caught them and they were very embarrased to say the least.

Remember the following:

Never give out your Name, Address, Age and anything that is a unique identifier to your identity in a publicly viewable site. Unique identifiers can be your National Insurance number, credit card number, drivers licence, passport number. I know it's obvious but people don't realise it sometimes.

Also, don't give information that can be used to obtain these personal identifiers.

Here's a hypothetical situation for a better picture...

Fella puts his Name, Address and Age online.

He gets into a conversation with someone and for one thing or another talks about where he banks and now we know enough to start working on stealing his identity by using a little more social engineering. To the untrained chatter this can be done in such a subtle way over a long period and it does happen. AOL were, I think, the first to post [never reveal personal information to anyone even if they claim to be AOL employees] or similar words to that effect on chat / IM / forums.

Here's a true story... fraud without the internet...

One of my daughters was at a nightclub in Vancouver. She had her ID card stolen. Starting with just the ID card they managed to forge documents and walked into a loan company and tried to get a $10,000 line of credit. Yes just on an ID card. Some guy the next day [after losing the ID card] called her and said he found her ID and that he would send it to her in the post, asked for her address and she gave it to him... giving them three days to do their fraudulent activities, because, like an honest person, she believed him. I don't recall why, but the loan company called her and this is when it all became apparent.

If she was working full time and had the strength for that sort of load it may very well have gone through based on all the false information that the fake person was giving.

But I digress and I'm not trying to hijack the thread :-)

Let me add... I was referring to "the concept" and not to any "doctrine" that is pushed around with reference to the Trinity. I want to clarify this and not get bombed with statements of how Trinity is Doctrine.

The trinity is a concept not a doctrine. The sooner you can understand that the sooner you can start to understand that it is not changing the identity or personality of God but helping us to understand what is meant by many of the terms spoken about in the Bible where each of the identities are refered to as one God and still maintaining a monotheist belief system.

I have a question for you "stillajwexelder".

Do you think God is more than everything he created? Do you think he is more complex and more astonishing than all of his creation[s]?

If so, then kindly explain to me how we can have a living example of one thing being three different aspects of itself in the real world but God, the createor of the universe and everything as we know it, is not capable of being that and so much more?

Would you like to know what it is in our daily lives that can exist in three different forms simultaneously and still be the same thing?

Another way to look at it... A triangle is made up of three sides. Each side is a line part of the whole. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Because the parts are three lines and the whole is known as a triangle because of what it is.

The parts are The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. The whole is God Almighty.
