we have pumkins out for halloween, as well as fun decorations...the problem is..we got an anniversary card today in the mail from some old witness friends where we used to live...they wish they could visit...they are prone to drop by un announced...so..have any of you had any sucess of "warning" old witness friends that you have changed?.
we are still trying not to get disfellowshiped for family reasons.

You are so right. The witnesses have been known to come by and visit. Its funny how when you are away for a while, you forget little stuff like that. All they would have to do is come by, and see the light up pumpkin deal, and that may be it for us. Both my wife and I would love to stop hiding...its just that whole "cut off from the whole freakin family" thing.
I'll have a talk with my wife, and we'll decide if we want to risk it with the decorations...

We are still trying not to get disfellowshiped for family reasons. So we don't want any incriminating evidence. This may just be impossible, but we want them to know so that they dont make a special trip, only to be very discouraged. They are (were) a special pioneer couple....

There was over fourty people there, and they paid out the top five winners. I lost pretty early. These people were playing for cash, and they meant business. I like to play for fun, with like five dollar buy ins...

when i drive by in the mornings to take the hubby to work, i often see lexus, bmws, mercedes, caddies, audis, etc.
My Bro. In Law elder drove his H1 Hummer for a year or so...but he drove his Mercedes benz to the meetings...I wondered if he traded it in because of the brothers advice, or something else, I know he loved it...

I've got it. I read it cover to cover.
I tried to use the information twice on two witnesses, both elders. One said that yes, they (Watchtower) made mistakes, but so did other prophets in the bible, and God used them?!?!?!!
The other said that they were the ONLY ones using "Jehovah's" name, and that made them special, thats why Jesus would have chosen them in 1919.
It is always one thing or another. Each is defeatable, but they wont stop coming up with crap. They really must have a crack in their "spiritual armor" to "see the light". In fact, the author brings that out anyway. But I just had to try it.

I agree with you. As a male, I can tell another male that he is handsom. Complete strangers even. In fact, I asked a salesman once if he was a model, and then told him he should be....

On the one hand, it could be a shepherding call, with nothing to worry about. On the other, they could be coming to see if you still go along with the watchtower teachings, and if not, call for a JC.
The whole problem is your wife. As long as she does not share your views, there will be problems. Did you show her your list of questions? Do you ask her questions that lead to the right answers?
