  i wonder if it's just me, or if other posters are like this.

  do any of you start to type a post, then hit the back button, or quit your post because your afraid of saying something stupid or "wrong," or reread some of your previous posts and wonder, what you were thinking when you posted it?.

  i find most people on this board more than willing to accept you for whatever you say in a post, but i still frequently shy away from hitting that 'submit post' button.. rose (pushing the submit button before chickening out again)

  Another hypothesis as valid as "God" is:

  A higher being (who happens to be a young higher being still in school) has created a universe as a study project and is observing our progress. Occasionally that being will cause "supernatural" things to happen. These miracles have not happened recently while because the higher being is off at a religious retreat.

  Disprove that!

  Great question!

  Creationists place God outside of creation and thus outside of Time. Thus no beginning or end.

  But this also places God outside of proof. While this frustrates the scientist, the creationist lounges in the comfort of Faith and is relieved from the burden of proof.

  You have hit on the reason why religion and science are always at odds.

  • Religion assumes something and tries to prove it.
  • Science assumes nothing and tries to disprove it.

  A personal God is essentially non-verifiable because that entity exists outside the sphere of our reality.

  For example: try to prove to me that we are not "inside the Matrix." You can't! Is that a reason to believe that the movies are non-fiction?

  They came back to my door after almost 3 years!!!

  well a month ago i had a real surprise at my door and elder and his wife showed up at my door, i did not know this elder yet he knew a bit about me that i left my ex jw wife and that i was out since nov. 2002 , and they asked me if i wanted to come back to the truth and be re-intergrated into the dubs..... .

  strange no????

  Very odd. You say that an

  That is irregular because only elders make calls like this. And elders usually only call on the disfellowshipped, not the disassociated. Since you wrote yourself off, elders normally do too.

  To answer your question, there is no special campaign to visit DF/DAed to my knowledge.

  and anyone pronouncing the righteous one wicked-even both of them are something detestble to jehovah, says proverbs 17:15. amid a world that is becoming entrenched in its opposition to god, it would be wise for us to look at our own attitude and values.

  periodically, we should examine ourselves to make sure we are not gradually drifting away from jehovahs thinking and standards.

  we might for example ask ourselves: have i become more tolerant of practices that god condemns?

  Why One "Inspired" Bible...but endless "literature" about it?

  "christians" are so proud of their one bible... the most widely distributed...blah blah blah...and thus it must be "god's" word.... yet the wts (in particular) is constantly producing new "literature"...why?.

  can't they comment on what they "know" about a certain scripture and leave it at that...i mean how much real "new light" is there?.

  they just rehash the same old crap over and over.... cheeezus...print one book...and then just "revise" it as needed... oh wait...i thought they had one book...the bible.... why do the interpretations need interpretation...???.
