Aux. pioneers can now attend the first half of the CO's Pioneer meeting
by truthseeker inwhile looking at the notice board of our pending co's visit, i noticed on his letter to the congregation that auxiliary pioneers can now attend the first half of the pioneer meeting.. i've never heard of this before, i thought only regular pioneers could attend.. is this a change in policy?
what would be the reasoning behind it?
to give them a taste of what it is to be a regular pioneer?

by AMNESIAN inwould some hearty and reliable soul who still attends meetings of jws confirm and elaborate on the letter being read to congregations in the us this week regarding the discontinuing of the publishing and distribution of the "deluxe" nwt bible in favor of a "soft cover" version of the same (whatever exactly that means) instead???.

Apparently no surprise to the Bethel family as these fellows have been very "visible" lately.
Interesting that the announcement was not postponed until the Annual Meeting (beginning of October).

WTS Backslides Production Again - Paperback Bibles

the wts will be phasing out hard-bound bibles for the public begining later this year.. jws will still be able to order hard-backs for themselves, but hard-bound bibles will not be made available to the public after current stocks are depleted.. soft cover bibles will have a paper cover similar to other publications produced by the wts.. pocket-size bibles with fake leather covers are to be discontinued entirely and will only be available in paperback.. we are a long way from pig-skin folks.. .

There was no mention of the fake leather bibles (regular size) in the announcement. Only "hard-cover" and "soft-cover".

But's what's this about tables? We use them for sisters in our hall every TMS. Sounds like a COck to me.
An objection was raised because I started using a table for sisters giving talks in the Ministry School.
