  i just had a marvellous week in oslo and will rank the activities i took part in, most fun on top of list, least at bottom:

  celebrating the soccer world cup victory with the brazilians in the streets of oslo.

  Need help: JW and Crystal Night 1938

  at june 24, the former editor of "bergens tidende", the main newspaper of bergen, norway, wrote an article about jw versus nazi-germany.

  obviously, he has recently seen one of the videos from wts about the issue.

  the article stated that jw was the only church that raised their voice in protest against the "crystal night" in 1938, when the nazis ravaged jewish synagoges, shops and homes and sent thousands of jews to consentration camps.

  i remember a popular idea that often surfaced in informal discussions among the jws in my congregation, especially back in the 70ies:.

  (this was in norway, and please remind that the evangelical-lutheran church is a national church and that ca 95% of population are members.).

  "the priests know that we have the truth!".

  ok, off topic, but i'm disgusted.. tonight, a norwegian tv documentary unveiled that during the argentinian/uk war in 1982 over las islas malvinas (the falkland islands) norwegian military intellingence tapped soviet surveillance satellites which monitored the movements of argentinian naval vessels.

  this information was *probably* handed over to the uk government and led to the sinking of the argentinian naval vessel "el crucero general belgrano".

  323 out of at staff of 1093 died.

  JW catches "smear pedo catholic priests&qu...

  i'm in need of advice:.

  today a jw wrote an article in a norwegain newspaper about the pedofile catholic priests scandal in the us these days.

  obviously, he enjoyed smearing them and argumented that the institution of celibacy was the root to the evil doings.. but, this jw is not personally very active - and he didn't mention anything jw-related in his article at all.
