Grunt,
you exagerate my role in your spiritual awakening. As I recall, I bought you your own copy of Crisis of Conscience, just to keep you from quoting me in your discussions with our family! I have had very little to do with your journey...we have just had some really good conversations...but your mind had been made up concerning all of this long before mine.

Fred, the Preaching Work,+the WTS 'batting slump'
by ISP inthe preaching work ,fred and the wts 'batting slump'.
in a thread below, fred, in a quite daniellesque manner, sought to detract from ray franz's credibility because ray did not promote the wts' preaching activity.. firstly i have to say that fred is not in the easiest position.
he is a wts apologist of sorts and whereas he might have some support on some other boards like great crowd or wol where his non-sequitors would go quite undetected, he finds it hard going here.

Grunt,
I found myself laughing out loud as well. These poor brothers and sisters had just better be glad you have settled down some in your middle age. I knew you in a time of your life when you would have put them on the floor and walked around them daring them to get up, all the while telling them how things really are! You know, we have talked about going in "field service" on a Saturday morning one day, just to find a car group of JWs who we could discuss religion with...I think that would be a fun way to spend a Saturday morning...lets plan on actually doing it this summer.

Hello...
by Atticus ini used to post over at h2o a long time ago and thought i would drop in and say hello.
i am very glad that someone has taken the time to set up another place where ideas about jehovahs witnesses can be freely posted and discussed.
this type of place is a great public service for people who are just starting to see through the thick fog and who are just beginning to recognize cracks in that grandiose, self-serving, anything-but-ivory, tower that has the gall to refer to itself as the truth.

I used to post over at H2O a long time ago and thought I would drop in and say hello. I am very glad that someone has taken the time to set up another place where ideas about Jehovah’s Witnesses can be freely posted and discussed. This type of place is a great public service for people who are just starting to see through the thick fog and who are just beginning to recognize cracks in that grandiose, self-serving, anything-BUT-ivory, tower that has the gall to refer to itself as the truth. I remember well what a terrifying period of time this is... Especially when all of your family and loved ones are still firmly within. It is so scary and frustrating to realize what is going on and to be so powerless to do anything about it. In the ‘Kingdom of the Blind’ the one with sight is never trusted nor believed and is blinded or cast out as soon as possible… I wonder if H.G. Wells knew many witnesses? Only people who have been in this situation can relate to someone currently experiencing it. Be proud of what you do here. As Lily Tomlin might have said, if Jehovah’s Witnesses is the answer, then we badly need to rephrase the question. I think many of you do this rephrasing with each and every post you make. Thanks!
