Sounds like Jehover was leading them to your door just at the right moment. Good thing they couldn't read your mind or this story would be on the back of an Awake magazine a few months from now.

Just woke up from a nightmare
by senselessly sane ini was having a nice normal dinner with my family, when the conversation turned to why i haven't been to any meetings in a really long time (the rest of my family isn't very regular though.
) everyone was turned to me, accusingly, and my father got all fire and brimstone, very vengeful-jehovah- like.
suddenly the dinner was over and it was just him and me, and he kept accusing me of things that i didn't understand because of a language barrier between us, and i kept using my non-comprehension as a defense.

This would be so funny had it not actually been a real nighmare that you had. Sounds horrific. Maybe it's time to examine your relationship with this man, and your relationship with yourself. Could be some issues that haven't seen the light of day.

For those who joined themselves.
by pc ini was wondering for those unlike myself, born into the borg, what made you come.
what did they show you that changed your view of religion or god.

I joined because I was in a bad situation and thought it would help. Had just broken up with my boyfriend, had a 5 month old baby, not from the city but decided to stay here anyway. Along cam a Dubbie, saw sad, pathetic me and they thought "Easy Prey". Or maybe it was "Hey, there's a solid number for a service report." Regardless, the swooped in and I didn't stand a chance.

My apartment building had a fire alarm at 4:30 this morning. Totally freaked out my 4 year old, had to get her all dressed up and walk her down 10 flights of stairs with the alarm blasting. It was great. (loads of sarcasm)

I'm a new churchgoer, communion question
by pennycandy ini've only in the last month started attending a non-denominational church.
i was absolutely shocked by what i experienced, and not because of the lightening i thought might strike me down as i crossed the threshhold.
while many were attentive and friendly, no one pried into my religious history, or tried to railroad me into coming back.

Wow, that sounds nice. Some churches have slightly different ways of doing things. If I were you I would take my concern to the priest (or whoever may be over seeing things). Then make sure you're not first in line, and quietly observe.

Dawn, that is hilarious. This has happened to me too, although in another setting. Don't you feel like a total ass, laying there in the sitting position? No damn way you can re-position yourself gracefully.

This doesn't shock me at all. I have come to expect this sort of crap from dubbies alike.
Hugs to you though, honey. Please don't use a permanent solution for a temporary problem.
