  having done this in past jobs, i know you can learn a lot about a company by its mail.

  i imagine bob makes a stack of bills, a stack of personal correspondance, a stack of literature orders, questions from readers, etc.

  how much do you think movies, effect people knowledge of history or even world events today?

  there was a programme on channel4 a fews weeks back basically revealing conspiracy theroies about jfk assasination to be a load of nonsense.oliver stone defended his film (which this programe had torn apart) by saying well people know its just a film and dont believe everything in movies.

  but his missed a vital point , what if the film is all a person knows of that event.

  How much harm have you caused your congregation?

  how much harm did you cause to the people in your congregation?

  everybody complains how the witnesses did this and that and in the process caused so much harm.

  but what you don't say is how much pain you caused others while you were in.

  Any minor harm I may have caused is different in this respect:

  I didn't go around teaching everyone to "spread the word", try to get everyone to repeat my stupid actions, try to convince others that the way I hurt people is the way everyone should treat everyone else. I"ve never tried to mass-teach something I wasn't sure about or knew damn well was wrong. My hurts weren't cpmpounded by trying to drag everyone else in.

  i hate to start a new topic when i'm about to have to go back to work, but i want to know why jws don't celebrate new year's?

  the first year i dated my dub boyfriend he took me to a (worldly) friend's house for an all out new year's bash.

  we had a great time.

  A computer was given to me by someone in my congregation. I took it in a few years later to be upgraded and when I went to pick it up the guy looked at me in disbelief and said "This thing is full of parts stolen from the governement!" Ooops
