What first gave you doubts ?
by rick1199 inwe all know the big problems with the wts, but what was the first thing that made you realise there were problems with the organisation ?
with me it was realitivly small stuff like an 8 year old getting baptised and a comment my best mates made about another of our friends asking if we should be hanging round with her as she might be bad assciation (she had just been reproved, but they had been mates 20 years).. .
how ever the first time i ever thought something was really wrong was when i was about 11 and my grand farther died, and mu mum wouldn't go to the funeral, i remeber thinking that surely it was better to say good bye properly than worry about if the service was in a church.. .

Rogue, I've been dedating a bunch of JW's on a discussion board about the same issues you have
read my posts on: http://www.profindpages.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard//forums.cgi?forum=13
JW's prevented me from going to college in the early 80's. These blind geeks (borg, kronies, rank & file, etc)
still do not remember how things used to be!!! It is just amazing how brainwashed they are.
Just because you can do something today, "we" were prevented from doing it then & we never got an apology!!!!
Good luck, & peace
Unfortunately I am still a MS, but am coasting it!!

JW's and holiday parades
by DaCheech in.
my mother in law has been a faithful dub for 55 years, the other day she wanted to show my 2 year old daughter the local memorial day parade.
i almost fell off my rocker, after giving her the "maybe not, maybe this..." i let them go.. is this allowed, or is it a laxing trend?

Hopefully this will lead my in-laws to more laxing

Suspicions About 'Rich' Witnesses
by metatron inrecently, i visited an area known for its 'healthy' congregations.
i spoke with an experienced elder about conditions.
he spoke glowingly about pioneers and not having enough kingdom halls.

I heard the society has a "learning" center in Hawaii.... is this just a coverup for a vacation spot in 5star lifestyle for the upper class?

Were the pre-flood people that wicked?
by indoubt ini have to say upfront that i am not sure about anything at this point of my life (i.e.
but i am trying to believe that there is a god, and that he is loving and cares about us...
i saw horrific pictures the other day about the floods that just occurred in dominican republic.

Mormon's rent Kingdom Hall
by DevonMcBride inhttp://www.nydailynews.com/boroughs/story/198134p-171112c.html
it seems the mormon's are having the same recruiting problems as the jw's.
it's hard-knock life .

I asked my father-in-law why we can rent VFW halls for memorial & gathering (when this money goes to
people that served in war), but cannot contribute stuff to salvation army or go to the YMCA!
Hypocrites

Oh yeah, and God killed all the dino's too in the flood!
Dubs are stupid, my father-in-law swears by this stuff! He claims there were no carnivorous dino's either!
Why would god create Dino's that kill in the perfect paradise? JW's will say like "puppets" to prepare the earth
to be liveable.... blah blah blah

How about every 1 creation day was 7,000 years.... But, a symbolic day is 1 year? (1914 prophecy)
