  The Publications Look Like Crap

  not sure when they switched from hard cover books to cheap cardboard cover.

  the publications don't have the same, fancy, expensive look that the previous hard cover ones did.

  i used to marvel over the nice hard cover books, and the colors of them.

  it seemed like from what i remember the jw's were always looking into so many alternative medicines and fad diets.

  and those easy money schemes, does anyone remember these?

  instead of just getting a college education they spent so much time looking into job alternatives.

  just had jws over.

  one of them (been in all of about 4 years) said "you can be sure no true christians have died due to famine" like therefore it didn't matter who did - i thought i was going to throw up... i told him that was an evil thing to say and out came the bible about the lillies of the field and manna in the desert.. .

  Yet at our circuit assembly last march, we had a brother from one of those african countries say how Jehovah saved him

  when the gun was at his head & he mentioned Jehovah!

  On the other hand, last night a wonderful tale was told!

  this brother from africa went to service at the same time no matter what! so a robber caught on

  & he decided to steal his home when he left. As that was going on people found the brother &

  told him his house was being stolen. he replied "what can I do know, I will stay in service". well minutes later

  still in service the robber passed by with his stuff, and he helled for the police & got his stuff back.

  Don't ever leave service no matter what! & Jehovah will bless you (mind you no mention of miracle), "bless you"!

  sorry to beat a dead horse, but i need to confirm this.... just had email conversation with a friend who is going to the manchester convention this weekend.. made a joke about not buying sticky buns from the street vendors, being a mortal sin and all.. she replied, "what's wrong with buying from the vendors?

  we have been encouraged to buy from on-site concessions.

  " then she had to leave before i could this clarified.. .

  "what were "the signs" around which the three-tribe divisions were to encamp in the wilderness?.

  the bible does not give a description of what these signs were.
