I have seen many brothers find mates on the internet (about 8). I guess they think it's a problem
because they think you're going to talk to an apostate thinking that they are witnesses and
when you meet........ BAM!
Anyway they just make stupid rules, and don't realize people cannot meet each other anymore because
congregation "a" has a brother that is old, and has a sister that is young, while congregation "b" has the opposite
problem.... How are they going to meet? They discourage that brothers go around congregations to meet because of
their responsibilities! How much can you do at the assemblies?

grand canyon national park, arizona (ap) -- a man was found dead after falling from a trail in grand canyon national park and landing about 500 feet below, a park spokeswoman said monday.. efforts to recover the man's body using a helicopter were hampered by high wind monday and park spokeswoman leah mcginnis said an attempt would be made tuesday.. it was an unclear why the man fell while hiking saturday, mcginnis said.

CO visit: what's the big deal?
by M.J. ini'm an outsider who was once told by someone at the local kh that the whole cong.
was abuzz with activity because the co was there to visit that particular week.
the whole meeting schedule was changed for the week, people were putting extra hours in service, etc.

According to society instructions elders are to make shepherding calls to all. but the weak
or inactive should get more attention. Obviously most elders do not give a rats arse about
anyone so they will see maybe 4-8 people a year. Fortunately for the society the C.O.'s
visit will promt all elders to do this (inactives) with the C.O.
It's funny last night the service overseer was giving the congregation report of hours
of 2002 -vs.- 2003 and all those numbers sounded like jargon, unsuspiciously
asked the brothers next to me if they were taking notes, and they said "most people here can't figure out
what he's talking about". I asked how about you? they said "it's blah blah to me!"

Can't figure why people just can't just look at the view from a safe spot!
Years ago on my honeymoon in Polynesia the tour guide took me in a land/range rover on the ride of my life
During the ride I could only think that thank GOD I had already experienced SEX. But after reaching the summit of the tall mountain he had to go down backwards for 500 feet before
there was a spot he could turn around in! I still have video of it! Would not do it again

Don't forget that when they visit, congregation pays them their full weekly expense check (gas, tolls, dry cleaning, food, car wash, etc)
Also many, including elderly ones in which have very little hand him/wife a little envelope with CASH!

I was told by elders to go out every day that week (co visit) so they can make me an elder. I said "no"
I've been asked twice to be elder, and I'm not gonna impress someone to be an elder. I think I would rather be
"nobody"!
I've had two over my house when they had their special school, they are no diffrent than regular people.... They watch TV, sports, and like to have "boys night out"!

What happens though if an emergency call is trying to get a hold of you?
Or lets say people with auto/theft devices.... that device notices your car being taken, tries to call you and guess what? You did not receive the call until 2 hours later!
