the recent magazines of november 1st/8th, 2004 target obesity.

while awake!

contains a 12-page-series, the watchtower contains a qfr on "how do christians view overeating?

It was on the news now that more health insurers are paying for obesite control

procedures (health) seems like the statics show them that they will fork out

30% more money to treat obese people.... So as end result it will be cheaper to

fix an obese person.

Wish all people well, and if this is affecting your health, please take care. My wife and I have only 20-30lbs on "normal"

I know it's hard to stay thin. All people should just see what's healthy to them, and see how the weight affects

how they want to live.

The Will JW kids/students be the next big threat to the Watchtower Society?

the internet has only been around for 10 years, yet it has profoundly changed the way we live, work and entertain ourselves.

particularly for children, they have readily adapted to this technology so much so, that teachers and educators are finding that their traditional based curriculums are leaving kids bored.

these are the kids who are used to surfing, instant messenging and downloading digital music.

called Christianities Babilon the Great "a Bitch" in very crude language

It shocked my whole row he used such a curse word!

~Please help answer this question about a Watchtower doctrine~

does anyone know what year the wtbts started teaching the mortality of the soul doctrine?

did it preceed the earthly hope doctrine?

i'm curious to know if the wtbts started teaching that your body is your soul, so that they could explain what happens to those with an earthly hope or who look forward to an earthly, fleshly resurrection.. knowing the answer to this question would help me let go of that brainwashing, that we don't have a separate, spirtual soul.

I was once as an 18 year old asked to go to a party. Well my friends elder father asked me to go

to his too. I said to him: "Sure, I'll come at Noon, but have to leave at 2 for the other friend.... He said fine

Well, in his party there were 10 or 14 older ones, and when time came I asked to be excused (asking if maybe

his 16 year old son could come with me too). Not only did he say no to me and his son, but said "Well

I think you should call family xx, and have them bring all their people over here! I said "I'm sure they are started

and spent quite a bit on preparing", he said "well they can bring it here"!

At that point I said: "You can tell your son what to do.... You can tell the naive in the ongregation what to do.... But you can't tell me

what t do"! and I ran to my car and left to his shock and awe!

The Stem Cell experiment, good or bad?

it was discussed by the president & kerry, it will be all over the news over the next few days because of the death of a hero, for some reason the stem cell issue scares me and i dont think i could support it, taking some voiceless life to improve another, maybe i am misinformed?

it all seems unethical.

i dont know all the facts, can you enlighten me please?.

Until someone can create a miracle by placing God over your ailement, we have to use

our brains to figure these things out. Obviously, you should not abort babies on purpose

(like purposely killing someone to harvest organs) to do this research. But, as many

know... when you get invitro fertilization, they harvest up to 8 or 10 eggs to fertilize.

If you get pregnant on the first try, you still have 7 or 8 fert. eggs left. They are probably

going to be frozen forever until they die anyway from time degeneration. Lets use those

and whatever happens happens! We need smart scientists!
