  so to those that have left the witnesses what would it take to get you back?

  I want him to come back for Jehovah not because he wants us to be a family again. If it's not in his heart there is really no point

  I'm glad you at least acknowledge the right reasons for going back - my mom wants me back at any cost !

  TBH, I don't think I'd want to come back, even if I felt it was the truth. Whenever I've complained about what I think are unfair / wrong attitudes or behaviours, I always get the stock "They're just men" answer. So are the Governing Body. I'd rather have the freedom to make my own decisions, and live up to the consequences of them, rather than have someone tell me what I can or can't do / think / feel.

  I'm glad to see you came back to the board. What did you think of the answers you received to your first 'vent' ?

  what were some major achievements in your life that made you feel proud, boosted your ego and intensified your sense of self esteem?

  Anyone here know much about Cat Psychology ??

  my wife and i have a new cat - a 7 month old blue smoke persian named olly (pedigree name is pannonius olympian).

  olympian he is too - weighing in at 5kg already !!.

  he's extremely timid, and hides pretty much constantly, meowing (squeaking now cos i think he's made his throat sore, poor mite).

  Update:

  Got home form work tonight - lots of kitten type behaviour. Playing, running under your feet as you walk. Still fairly timid - will run off if there's a sudden noise or movement, but his behaviour tonight was much more encourageing.

  He's started eating a bit more now, so I'm hoping ( is that the right word) to find a 'deposit' in his litter tray tomorrow. He hasn't taken a dump since he got here - not one we can find anyway ! But there's absolutely no cat smell or 'unpleasant odours' coming from anywhere in the house, so I think he's been good so far....

  I didn't like his face when I saw him on the net - thought he looked like a persian with a 'moggies head', but he's taken on the full persian face now and is absolutely gorgeous !!! I'll post some piccies at some point when he's up for posing !!

  in a post by syn that lady lee has brought up again, there is this statement by syn.

  i could underline my watchtower in 10 minutes, tops, and be sure that all the answers were right.

  many esteemed researchers have shown that repetitive imprinting of ideas is a primary cult tactic, and i tend to agree with them.

  I haven't any evidence to support it, but wanted to submit my vote - Yes.

  Preventing members from reading conflicting literature whilst parrot style repeating the same information somehow makes it 'truth' in their minds

  Any man with a beard that nice can't be all bad, so yeah, I'd probably buy a car...

  I'm back and I'm a grandma!!

  i took off for a month and went to be with my only daughter who was expecting her first child....which is 2 weeks old today!!

  i just got home today and wanted to check in and say hi; checking back through the posts i see there are many new ones and that i've missed some lively conversation!

  I cant stand the KITTY LITTER BOX. That is the nasty thing

  I don't like the whole litterbox thing either - the kitten was my wife's xmas present (a little early, but I think she figures if she has it now, I'll get her something else for the day !! I've got her figured out !!! ) - so the deal is that she takes care of that side of things...

  I want to teach him to use the toilet eventually - I'm imfored that it can be done !

  first couple of months i'd keep the cat indoors

  He's gonna be an indoor cat anyway E - strangely enough it's in our contract of sale !

  Thanks for the advice, and the encouragement guys - it's much appreciated.

  We had a kitten session this morning - lots of purring and fuss - so much so that it was difficult to get out of the house and go to work - physically and emotionally. I melted on the spot and would have stayed fussing him all day if I could've done - every time I tried to close the door, he tried to get back out for more fuss! Some references I've found on the net say that he's probably lonely too, adding to his distress of moving home / family.

  It seems that he feels comfortable being fussed on the stairs - so long as I let him initiate the contact.

  He's dribbling a lot at the minute, so I think he's cutting his back teeth, which could be another reason for the withdrawal and meowing - pain.

  Desperate to get back home now for another fuss!
