  What view did you have of apostates when you were a JW?

  i can remember being an attendant at one of the circuit assemblies in nottingham, where a group of pentecostals were picketing out by one of the gates.

  i was intrigued for a short while, until a guy in a motorised wheelchair type thing, tried to get into the assembly by ramming himself into us.

  i could of quite happily baptised him in the trent !!

  Anyone here know much about Cat Psychology ??

  my wife and i have a new cat - a 7 month old blue smoke persian named olly (pedigree name is pannonius olympian).

  olympian he is too - weighing in at 5kg already !!.

  he's extremely timid, and hides pretty much constantly, meowing (squeaking now cos i think he's made his throat sore, poor mite).

  Immigrant survey in UK - shock results!!

  apparently, to make the immigrants feel more welcome in this country, a survey was conducted on all 'established' immigrants, asking them should we change our currency....... ....... 99% of immigrants whom expressed a preference, said they like the giro just the way it is!.

  Little Britain Live - Anyone been to see it yet ?

  i went to see it last night - my sides are still hurting from laughing so much !!.

  they really put on a good show... and develop the characters just that little bit further than tv censors would allow !!.

  if you get the chance, go and see it.... but make sure you're not sitting near the front... audience participation can be pretty funny (humiliating) if you get dragged up on stage !.

  how many of you are ex jw bikers ??

  i remember it was frowned upon when i had a bike - risking life and limb on english roads didn't go down too well with some of the more conservative elders.. what kind of bike do you ride ?.

  Bob Geldof fights for Fathers Rights...

  did anyone see the documentary last night on c4 - hopefully highlighting the plight of many fathers over here in the uk!!.

  i watched it in tatters.... it brought back some very painful memories, and reminded me of the precariousness of my own 'contact' with my little girl.

  it also reminded me of the unnacceptable prejudism towards men in the so called "family law".. in a society that demands equal rights for women, ethnic minorities, homosexuals, lesbians, disabled... people seem to have forgotten about 'ordinary' men.
