i posted the following on a rock band forum today.

the band in question are (more accurately, "were") a group heavily influenced by paganism, lyrically and instrumentally.

i almost used the word "art" in place of "illustrations" in the subject line.

anyway, i always thought that wt illustrators were of a fairly high calibre.

after the hideous 70s-ish gray-orange-green my book of bible stories era (and, yes, i know some of that had to do with printing tech at the time), some of the illustrations were (are) of quite high quality.. .

... i'd like to say a big thank you to all you regular posters.

i've been here as long or longer than many of you with hundreds of posts, but even though i don't often hit "reply" it doesn't mean i'm not responding.

and i think i speak for many of us here.

What are some Bible contradictions that JWs can't reconcile?

i remember reading in the reasoning book about how to approach someone at the door who said the bible was full of contradictions.

one of the answers was "many say the bible's full of contradictions but no one's been able to show me an example of one.".

so, what are some examples that jws would have no real canned answer to?.

okay, what's the deal with the smurfs?

i've heard mention here and there about some 80s rumours regarding demonized smurfs (or something) that got jws in a panic.

i remember when i was a kid my aunt telling my mother about smurf dolls with blood on them walking around, i think.

Should I even bother writing a DA letter?

hey everyone.. my post count indicates i'm new, but i've been lurking here regularly for at least a year now.. quick and simple: should i write a da letter or not?

my wife and i left physically well over a year ago (relocating to a new province helped expedite our departure - i recommend this to anyone having a hard time with "the move"), and we went from "what if they df us?

" to "what if we da'd?

Where do you find spiritual fulfillment now?

hey everyone.. i've been "out" for about six months now, fully enjoying life for the first time in a very long time.

part of my joy comes from the freedom i now have to explore other spiritualities.. i will say, though, that since leaving i've felt something lacking in my life.

not because i regret my decision to leave.
