The scriptures you quoted were all inane nonsense! There was NOTHING in there about the world trade center so what were we suppose to say? "No, its not interesting?" Then you would have gotten your little feeler hurt about that! At what point do you say... "Hummm no that does not make since and spending 16 hrs a day poring over a book and hearing voices in NOT ok and is NOT healthy and maybe we should nip off to the doctors for a bit?!" Your mom is SICK and you are an inabler! Take her to the freaking doctor and see if there's something wrong like a good child!

Mother in law told off for speaking to her daughter

my wife and i disassociated 3 months ago and my wifes mother is still a jw....but.....she still sees us regularly.

today, a 'clipboard' elder went down to see her.

he has been her book study overseer for a year and has never once gone to see her even though her husband is dying.

here in quebec, walmart decided to close a walmart store because the 190 employees wanted to become unionized.

walmart said that they weren't making money at that store, and that's why they are closing.

we all know that the real reason why walmart wants to close is because the employees want to be unionized.. in this day and age, do you think that walmart is right, or the employees?.

Walmart (and companies like it) are cancers on the economy of the world they have a vested interest in keeping 2/3 or the world poor to make cheap shit for the other 1/3... Of course that means that all manufacturing jobs have to be sent to the poor 2/3 which means that companies must outsource jobs at a greater and greater rate to be able to purchase the cheap shit produced by that 2/3 then most of the 1/3 becomes poorer and poorer so they can't afford to buy anything from the 2/3 so then everyone is poor and the world is back in the 1920-30's thats why there is a huge global depression every 50-75 years or so this is an endless idiotic cycle...

The real downside is that I think they learned after the last big depression how to get out start a world wide war and kill off 1/3-1/2 of the labor pool... Pulls the world right out... I'm really afraid of where the planet is heading in the next quarter of a century!

Do you think of yourself as an apostate

many of the people on this site say that they are apostates.

but that is not the way i feel about myself.. i am not angry with the "witnesses" or the organisation, i don't feel that i wasted my life.

i just think that i was stupid to believe it for 30 years (well sort of believe it, i did have severe doubts on and off).

How do you become an apostate from an organization thats beliefs are constantly changing?

If you froze a group of witlesses and then thawed them out in 50 years (or hell 2 years anymore!) Would they automaticly be apostates or would the religion that has changed around them be the apostates? If I started teaching the teachings from the early 1900's am I an apostate or are the current witnesses apostates? Somethiing to think about...

What I always found hilarious about this account was who did he THINK was coming out to meet him? Wether he was going to kill them or just make them go off and be a nun who did he THINK he was sending off? He was upset that his daughter came out first but he had to have SOMEONE in mind right? If you have a wife and one daughter thats two people... and the daughter runs out and your pissed who were you HOPING to get rid of?

I guess maybe they had servents that could have run out first but I always took it that he really wanted to get rid of his wife!
