  Did you lie before getting married in the KH?

  as you know every young couple who is planning to get married in the kh are asked a question about "clean conduct" a week or two before the wedding.

  if you admit to have been fooling around to much you can forget about the kh and go and get married elsewhere.. i'm not married myself, but i was engaged to be married once and my soon-to-be father in law (an elder) recommended a certain elder to do the marriage stuff in the kh because he was a kind of easy on the mantadory questions.. fortunatly in never got that far because me and my girl split up about 2 months before the planned wedding, but i have been to a lot of kh weddings and i know for sure that some of the couples had to lie to cover up their conduct to get married in the hall.. but how common is this?.

  did you lie before getting maried in the kh, or do you know someone who did?.

  Well the way I see it if I took my soon to be wife to MY bed in MY house then according to the biblical tradition we were already married right? Take the girl to your house and then your married? Everything after that is just the formality?

  Of course I figure that if you have to MARRY her afterwards then you've been punished enough!

  My wife and I fooled around but never had sex... I don't remember this question but I would have said yes or no depending on what I thought was the funniest at the time... I think they asked my wife when I wasnt' there... Some of the elders really tried to talk her out of marrying me... Can't think why!

  Nope... I've been thinking about going back to school to be a dentist... My knee has really been hurting lately so I need a sitting job!

  another post that i was on triggered a memory of something that happened in the late 60's???

  two members of the gb... in canada were on the platform.they obviously knew each other quite well.

  one offered to the other that he was good for a....can't remember the (insult brit type) laugh that was raised but even then i thought it was out of line.

  "jewing me down" Usually means trying to take financial advantage by pestering or badgering to get the price down ie; if someone says I will tile this floor for 500 and you say can you do it for 350 you are trying to "jew them down" it's based on the notion that jews are cheap and like to "haggle" for more examples of "haggleing" watch Monty Pythons "Life of Brian" specificly the beard part!

  as they were d/f him he figured this was his last chance.

  in his letter he stated that as i had scriptural reason for divoce, so did he.

  One of the elders in my old hall was constantly saying "Niger-Rigging" on quick builds ie; "this a/c is completly niger rigged" His language was TERRIBLE and I just think he didn't give a damn he was old and this IS Jacksonville he said LOTS of racial slurs! This was one of his better ones!

  One of the local radio shows in jacksonville had a resident "retard" that they would call and get this... HE WAS A WITNESS! It's not funny to me when I see this stuff it just sort of makes me sad... oh well to each there own I DO pick on brownhole a lot and he's a retard so I guess I shouldn't throw stones right!

  I know several people who do insurance billing and collections from their home and make DAMN good money!

  I also know a guy who got way up in a pyramid scheme (selling noni (sp) juice) he said he knew it was mainly making money by getting people to sign up and not really about selling a product last month he made 27,000 he actually showed me the deposits when I said he was full of crap he showed me that he's made over 1 million bucks in the last 5 years... This guy isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer either but he's invested most of the money he's made and says if he can ride it for 5 more years he's gonna retire... at 33... oh god I'm gonna be sick... I'll never hear the end of it if he manages to do it!!! uggggh

  So there are honest ways to make money and slightly shady ways... up to you babe!
